A Speed Pop Album with a Message

"Think Fast" by artist "Just Left" is not your typical POP album. Like its title, this is in fact a speed pop/rock album where every song is full of energy. But, even more unique is that this is one of those rare albums that sends a message to the listeners and carries it through nearly every song... The songs end up being a response to each other, and despite the difficulties in pulling this off, Just Left successfully gives you a unique song with incredibly imaginative lyrics playing off several themes. Absolutely MUST listen to the album more than once. Over time it grows on you as you begin to understand that each song is like a puzzle piece to an over arching story. It is an incredible achievement that few bands can pull off but they did it. What I got from the album was the concept of knowing that in a relationship, you made some mistakes and recognize your blame for them, but you also recognize that you can change yourself and become a better man. A message of envy (cause your second best), of past memories you wish to forget, and so on are also in here. This isn't your typical, "Give me one more chance," message, but it is a message of PROVING your worth to your lady all over again or your lady proving her worth to you. Here's some example lyrics: Finding You in Yourself: "I'm still stuck, lost in something, lost in something To be found and eventually I'll finally get it right" I Call it Like I see it "It's just one of those times When you put 'em down or fight Just to prove to those you've got it in you" Don't Hold Your Breath "These words are not worth telling at all But I messed up and now I'm stuck In this mess that I created And it feels like today The whole world is watching me" About the only issue I have is that despite the name of the album "Think Fast" I still felt that a slow moving ballad would have helped greatly here. So, I give the album 4.5 stars out of 5.
