At least six times when I went to look the file cuts off just before and picks up just after. Then someone hit my car in a parking lot and even though I have it wired and set up to record these types of events of course it got nothing. I wish I’d have spent a little more and gotten a better one.

Posted .Hello There, The Dash Cam records in increments of 1 Minute. This is to extend the lifespan of the SD Card by partitioning. Also these 1 Minute Increments ensure no critical footage is lost/corrupted if power was lost in an accident. The Super Capacitor can protect the Dash Cam if power lost, ensuring the last video clip can be saved before powering down. Unfortunately we do not offer increments longer than a minute on all Thinkware Dash Cams.
