Entry level wheel, entry level price

Racing games have always been my chosen genre of video game, but I always felt like I was missing something before I started using a racing wheel to play them. While it’s not likely that anyone will mistake this for a high-end unit, I do think that it targets the person looking to add an exceptional amount of realism to their gaming at an attractive price. This Thrustmaster wheel does just that.
Many entry-level racing wheels are not going to come with the same features that this wheel has, namely: Force-feedback, rev-counter LEDs, and magnetic paddle shifters; all which Thrustmaster has provided in this package. While the wheel itself is small and is just plastic (not leather-wrapped), it is packed with mappable buttons and even contains a red stripe to indicate when the wheel is centered (like a race car would have).
I’ve only tried this wheel with a few PC games so far, but it has certainly improved the gameplay in all of them. In Forza Motorsport 7, the added realism using this wheel made the game more fun and easier to play, as finer levels of wheel and throttle/brake response can be applied using a wheel, especially a wheel with 900* of rotation like this has. I’ve logged the most amount of gameplay on American Truck Simulator, where I can now (more) easily control the vehicles and have mapped buttons at my fingertips so that I don’t have to take my eyes off the road.
Overall, this is a fantastic entry-level wheel and pedal combo set. Sure, more features and better quality can be gotten for slightly more money, but for those looking to add realism and playability to their gaming, this unit fits the bill quite nicely.

this steering wheel and pedals set will really upgrade your gaming fun! The force feedback makes the steering wheel sort of fight against your inputs like a real car steering wheel would do so you can really feel how hard you're pushing your car. Another nice thing with this wheel vs. using a controller is that you can make small adjustments to keep your car centered on the track, or quick corrections when you feel the back end of the car step out on you. There is no way to ever be that precise with a controller, or even a mouse and keyboard if you're one of those players. All of the buttons are nicely laid out around various places on the wheel itself, making gear shifts, camera movements, e brake slides, all easily achievable. The buttons and controls are configurable so you can set them how you want, and the settings can be saved so you can swap them from game to game easily. I liked that even on an older title like Dirt, that the wheel popped right up in the settings and I didn't have to fiddle or download extra drivers etc.. The only issue I had with my steering set up is the pedals and their platform are slightly smallish, but they work just fine, and the clamp design that holds the wheel in place is a little to small to hold it in place on thicker tables. The torque that the force feedback motor kicks out is so strong, that if you drive as poorly as I do, it shakes and kicks so much it ends up coming loose off my table.

Good entry wheel and pedals

Thrustmaster t128 is a good entry point to get into racing sims. The setup is fairly simple on xbox or pc (this particular model will not work on ps4/5.) You need to mount the steering wheel to your desk which is easy enough with the self grip included. Then connect the pedals to the wheel and run power to an outlet and a usb connection to your pc or xbox depending on the system you are playing on. Note if you are on PC there is an mandatory driver install you must get off their website to make it work.
The wheel feels good I tested it with Forza 5 and was happy with the controls and pedals. I wish the pedals were made of metal instead of plastic, but for the price point you can hardly complain. Everything felt responsive, I haven't seen any connection drops or non responsiveness from either the wheel or the pedals. I like how I can bounce between PC and xbox with the same set of hardware that's a nice feature that it's not locked into one or the other. Don't be alarmed if when you power on the wheel it starts spinning by itself this a self calibration feature that all racing wheels do.
Overall happy with the set and I'll be zooming around the streets in forza in a much more realistic way rather than holding onto a controller in my hands.

Great wheel for the casual gamer

This wheel is great for casual racing gamers. I played Forza Horizon 5 and F1 2022 with no apparent issues. The build quality is good for entry-level, and the pedals are sturdy and should be able to last quite a while. The wheel and button layout are great and the “handbrake” buttons are convenient for drifting. The shift lights are also a nice addition helping to keep your eyes on the action while in a race. The steering input and force feedback is great and the pedals are smooth with good tension and range of motion. The paddle shifters were very responsive. The wheel connects to your pc or Xbox Series X/S with ease. The quick clamp makes the connection to a desk or table quick and easy. Like most wheels, the cords could be a little short depending on your roo. The game support is promising at launch and should only get better over time. Connecting to the PC was simple and updating the firmware was easy. I would recommend this to anyone who likes racing games and wants the additional immersion of racing.

I picked this up as a unit for my secondary gaming computer (windows 11) so both my boys can play with wheels on racing games. My other wheel is a thrustmaster 248. This unit is not quite as fancy, only 2 pedals (no clutch) but there are shift paddles if needed. I generally do automatic, so not a loss. The quality of build and pedal feel are excellent. The pedals are a bit close together for my size 11 ½ foot, but pedal feel is good, and the base does not tip as much as my other unit since the springs are not as strong, and putting it against a base to keep them from moving forward is helpful. It may not be as bad on carpet, but most of my floors are vinyl planking. My youngest son who is still in child sizes can use the pedals without tipping. The 248 model istougher for him, and tips a lot. Connection was easy, and the computer found it easily, but I am not sure if and how to update firmware. The qr code to support leads me to an empty spot on their site right now, I guess because this is so new, support is not quite in place. Overall it Did not take long at all to set up physically. Using forza 5, this worked really well, just as well as my other unit, good feedback and in game feel. Honestly I can't tell much difference in the wheels. This came with 1 month gamepass code if desired. Both wheels perform well. I sort of like the pedal feel better on this one. Again, I'm not sure if there will be software for this to customize the buttons at all, but this worked right away when I hooked it up, for me I probably won't change anything. If I had to purchase my first wheel again, I would have chose this one vs the other more expensive, because value wise for me, I don't gain much for my uses. That being said this wasn't available, and I had seen a demo of the other and knew I liked it's features. I definitely reccomend this item because it feels like it's built well, plug and play set up, and value cost wise comes in right in middle of other very nice units, and with this brand I know I can trust it with good compatability.

Not bad for the price, shipping is horrible

The product is great but could use a few changes. Pedals need to have something behind them or they will move. Wheel is good and great force feedback. Main issue was that my product was only In shipping for 2 days but when I got the product it looked like It went though a tornado. The box was open and partially ripped on the side.

Too small

The construction of the wheel is great and the rumble action is absolutely perfect on how it adjust when the terrain changes from dirt/road/rocky. The buttons are solid and the pedal shifter have a great click when pressed. I also have to say there is very little (if any) input lag and it worked without issue on all racing games I tried. With all that said there are a few key downsides to the racing wheel for one the wheel is a tad on the small side so playing for extended times will definitely cause some pain in wrist/hands. Another issue is the gas/brake pedals they are too close to one another and it is also to small, so small in fact that it tends to lift up when you press the gas/break. You can adjust to this by slow pressing or slowly shifting from one pedal to the other but that really ruins the game play. The sad thing is these issues cannot be fixed since they are hardware issue. The wheel is a nice piece to show off and the rumble action is absolutely perfect but the issues with size makes it hard to recommend.

Disappointing

This is an entry level wheel and pedal set and it's pretty apparent. If you are just getting into gaming with a racing wheel, keep your expectations in check. Is it easier to steer than using a controller? Yes. But my biggest complaint with this setup is the pedals. They are hall effect pedals which is nice for longevity, but good luck using them. The small grip pads are inadequate and I've tried using them on various surfaces and they just slide. You could build a racing rig and attach them and they'd probably be fine, but if you're going to do that you aren't looking at entry level equipment.
It's disappointing because the steering wheel is really not bad. It has decent grip and the shifters work well, with a good solid feel to them. I feel like the pedals are going to turn people off from getting into using racing wheels because if they start with this as their entry into it they'll probably be disappointed.
Also the cables for connecting to your game console really need to be longer. I use a projector or 75" TV and am forced to sit a lot closer than I normally do because the cables are only about 4 or 5 feet long.

Good Budget Option

I bought this to replace my old T150, which had stopped working. My first opinion was that the material is a downgrade from the T150, simply from the paddle shifters that were previously metal and now plastic. After several hours of use, you don't notice it. One big upgrade is the sound, compared to the T150 it's not nearly as loud.

Works great! Bought as a gift for my husband and the whole family had a blast playing
It. I do recommend buying the stand to set it up though as the pedals do slide around on the floor making it hard to play
