Well, I have bounced in and out of Tidal for many years trying services such as Quboz, Amazon H D, Deezer, etc but finally, I am here to stay. Why? Music just sounds better whether it is in CD quality or hi-res. But what finally made me a convert was the massive catalog of Dolby ATMOS music. My home theater just became so much more fun listening to music in this fantastic format. This technology makes sense. You record in 42 plus channels and then mix it down to two. Why not mix it down to 7, 9, or even a whopping 32 channels. Take advantage of this format. I have the Jeff Beck Rough and ready Album in Quadraphonic. This was a very differnt mix and now it is available in Sony 360 plus other favorites. Sony 360 does not have a huge catalog yet, but if you have Sony headphones they will adapt to 360 and sounds fantastic, Lastly,, the video mixes have been a ton of fun, Finding live gems from Earth Wind and Fire, the Who and others has been more than entertaining. Plus going back in time with some ancient videos has giving us some good belly laughs. My home theater system has now become the entertainment center to our home thanks to Tidal. BTW Using Apple TV or Nvidia Shield TV (recomended) has giving us the best results

I purchased this as a trial thru Best Buy; it is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! I am a die hard audiophile and quality sound is paramount. Previously created over 100 playlists and 3,500 pieces of music on Spotify. There is NO COMPARISON. Tidal wins hands down no matter what the cost. If sound is top priority choose Tidal. Also you can get a 1 month subscription to Tune My Music for $4.50. They will transfer ALL your files, albumns & playlists from Spotify (or any other app) in a matter of minutes.

I've been a DJ for over 25 years and have amassed quite the library of physical tracks. But no one is lugging around vinyl and CDs these days, it's all about MP3 and FLAC. This subscription is around 60% off for the first year of TIDAL HiFi (the best subscription they offer). The best part is that it works with Serato, Algoriddim DJay, and I've even confirmed it to work with Pioneer Rekordbox DJ (6.0.5 Beta) -- and it's far better than the Serato implementation and runs as FLAC or AAC! I'll always use my physical library when possible, but having the TIDAL HiFi library in my back pocket for less than $10/mo is an amazing feeling. The only thing I don't really like about TIDAL compared to Spotify or Apple Music is the lack of nesting playlists in folders. It's a small thing, but when you have hundreds of them it would be nice to organize them a little better.

I was auto enrolled in this app when I bought a Bluetooth speaker. I never wanted it, never used it and BAM, 3 months later they will charge your account. Customer service is closed on weekends and it's hard to find a number to call and talk with anyone about it. It seems there are many different links in best buy for this service, maybe to hide the bad reviews and warnings from customers about this hidden charged subscription being tacked on to Bluetooth speaker purchases . Very bad business, I will definitely think twice about buying anything with a credit card from best buy again. Now I have to call VISA to refute the charge on my account.

Just purchased the 1 year Tidal HIFI plan which actually rung up in the cart as $99 instead of $120. WHAT A DEAL!!! If you subscribed to the HIFI monthly plan through the Tidal app you would end up spending $240 for the year. I saved $140 unreal! I received the Tidal email with the activation code around 25 minutes after the purchase. Followed the activation instructions in the email and everything went through successfully. Great deal Best Buy!
