Its a nice gadget, but the efficiency is not the greatest. Application is often lagging behind, showing previous locations. Tile need to think of making this more usable. I would recommend this as a nice gadget, but not a necessity.

Works well as advertised but you cannot change battery. You have to send back with $60 to get four new ones. Sneaky way of getting money from you every year.

#1 Tile was designed using the premise of crowd data tech. This means that just like many GPS devices that plan driving routes the apps share your experience with the mother ship. In this case everyone with the tile app installed and running allowing access to bluetooth. Will report back to the mother ship any tiles that it encounters on it's journey. (IE: why you replace the battery every year is more about paying for the cloud servers) #2 Tile isn't a device to attach to every item you own that you lose but the ones that you can't really be without. EG: Keys, Wallet, Purse and before luggage tracking improved I would have one in my luggage to be able to track it while traveling. Tiles are a 2 way device. IE: if you have your tile attached to your keys and you lose your phone you can click on the tile and your phone will start playing the tune (I am equally able to lose my keys or my phone, so both of these functions help me) The crowd data sourcing works, but it works best if you are in an area commonly where groups of people are located. Also, for whatever reason when you first pair the tile with your phone it takes at least 5 minutes for the device to do the initial pairing. Then almost an hour for it to show up in the cloud that other peoples apps were reporting the location back. I would guess that when the device is first activated it's loaded in a batch and then indexed in the cloud for use, but all of that isn't immediate when you first get the tile and it's activated. For example I lost my keys at the office, couldn't figure out where I left them. Opened the tile and found someone had turned them into the guard. (I looked at the app and it said that tile had encountered 40 people using the app) meaning the data from their tile apps told the cloud where my keys were when I clicked on the search for this item. I bought one for my roommate who lost his keys almost daily and he kept force closing the tile app and didn't give it access to the bluetooth wireless. So he couldn't understand why it didn't work. Once I pointed him to how and why tile works. He was like.... Ohhhhh! No problems after that. This is not for everyone nor is it best for everything. Keys are the best use along with purses or day planners. Putting a tile on a device like an iPad is a waste because with the tile app installed and pared with another tile it becomes a 2way finder.

Very spotty and unreliable. Never could get the flat ones to work, and the standard one only worked sometimes, even when searching phone was only a few feet away! Very frustrating. Also, bought after seeing that they now had long-life batteries, yet found that this was old stock later. Tile should've pulled old versions from retail and liquidated these old ones directly.

It works and probably is the best of it's kind BUT when I press the tile to find my phone it doesn't always work..and sometimes I'm looking right at my phone!

I got the tiles for Christmas and somehow ironically they got lost in all the confusion of the holiday. They came highly recommend from a friend

It didn't last long. I didn't like it wasn't rechargeable. I might try the newer version.

Works ok I guess, it does the job. Left my wallet at my moms and it told me it was 30 miles away at my house... so it’s not perfect

Requires access to bluetooth. Not standalone so if you lose it you can't find it unless you are close enough for bluetooth.

I bought this in a deal with the Google Home mini. Deal looked good but tile itself is not worth the money spent.

When I go to find my keys sometimes it won't let me search them because they disconnect from the app for some reason

OK product. Tiles are only found if someone with the Tile app running goes near your Tile (within about 100 ft).

The tile app fails from time to time so I find myself desperately searching for my phone or my keys

My kids use these for phone and keys battery life is so so

Recommend to purchase except but the upgraded version instead well worth it!
