Will others say it is lightweight, it really is not considering it is between 18-20lbs. A mop and bucket might be 3-5 lbs and a lightweight vacuum under 14lbs. So it is pretty heavy but not bulky and it does do both vacuum and mopping in one compact unit without cords in your way as your cleaning. It comes complete with extra cleaning parts so that is nice but come on, it should given it is $400 without taxes. The unit is a pleasure to operate and has a decent runtime for bare floors, battery time is fantastic. The problem is if your cleaning carpets both vacuuming and shampooing, then one small to very small medium room is doable. BUT if you have more than one room, well you will need to recharge and that takes a few hours! So out of luck. The beauty is if your just mopping floors, then great product. Does a great job cleaning and mopping on hard surfaces and battery life less of an issue, as is straight vacuuming of carpeted rooms. So 4 stars because it is kind of pricey and the long recharge time. The bottom line is that it is a pleasure to use, easier than a mop and bucket and more convenient to use when shampooing just one room than to lug out your 30+ pound full size rug shampooing machine. A keeper.

battery keeps getting damaged, have taken it to repair before and they send me a refurb and now the refurb is not working.

To be honest, I never heard of Tineco before. There seems to be an endless sea of Dyson knock offs but that is not what the Tineco Hard Floor Washer One S5 is. This is truly unique “smart mop” and vacuum. The emphasis should be on mop, this is only designed for hard floors. It’s built well and reminds me almost of an Apple or Google design. I know, I know – but it has that fine fit and finish that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Topping it off is a clean and bright display that shows you the battery life and what mode it is in. Let’s start off with what is in the box : - Floor Mop and vacuum. - Docking Station : - 3-in-1 Cleaning Tool - Deodorizing and Cleaning Solution - HEPA filter - Brush Roller - Adapter Maneuverability and ergonomics The S5 weighs about 11 pounds when full of water. At first the handle looks to be in an odd position, but I found it incredibly easy to maneuver around and well balanced. The head turns very easily and is just the right size to fit into tight spaces. The spinning brush head pulls the unit forward, almost like it is self-propelled. It really is a pleasure to use. Sound – I would not call it quiet as it is a vacuum, but it was quiet enough. The S5 does speak to you but you will not be able to ear it well over the motor running. The speaking function is cool, for about the first 3 times. The roller spinning is very quiet compared to a traditional vacuum. Battery life – I do not have much faith in most large rechargeable vacuums. Other than Dyson and to lesser extent Raycop, I’ve been disappointed in in nearly all others. However, with the Tineco Hard Floor Washer One S5 , I was able to clean a 10 X 6 kitchen and 6 X 5 bathroom floor space with 3 passes. It was about 11 minutes of use and it only used 17% of the battery. This was using it on high power most of the time. I was also able to run it through is cleaning cycle and that only used another 8%. Overall, I felt this was exceptional battery life. Fit and finish – There is a noticeable attention to detail and quality. It is easily as good, if not better, than then the top competition. High quality, matte finish plastic with no gaps. The rollers are durable and is the filters. In reference to the roller, it is easily changed and pops out easy for maintenance. The display is clear and bright and has everything you need to know. Performance – All that I mentioned above is useless if it does not clean well. You will be glad to hear that it does a good job if you set the right expectation. This is not a heavy-duty cleaner, it is a spot and maintenance cleaner. My floors were not too dirty, but I had not washed them for a few weeks in anticipation. Based on water in the waste tank, they were dirtier than I thought. I did make more than one pass and the floors were sparkling clean. There is sensor that adjusts the power (and extends battery life) according to the level of dirt. I prefer to just put the S5 on it’s high power but if you have a lot of floor space, it may make s difference. One note is I did find a small spot of dried egg yolk on the floor. That is tough for a floor cleaner to remove and the S5 was not able to remove it. Dried egg is not really a fair test but I thought I would mention it. Cons The S5 is Wi-Fi capable and connect to an app that tells you how long you have been cleaning and battery life. The app did not once give me a battery reading and there was no other tangible benefits. According to the instructions, you can connect to Alexa to check battery life. What is the point? This is just a gimmick that serves no purpose. The dock could be heavier to add stability. When you put S5 in the dock it does add weight but I found it can rock forward relatively easily. In conclusion, I really liked this unit. The cons are minimal and the performance is great. The app definitely needs some refinement, and I am hoping the issue of not reading the battery is related this to being Tineco’s newest flagship model. The price of $500 might now be for everyone, it is a but higher than I expected but not total unreasonable. Overall, this is a great unit that does a fantastic job. Recommend.

As soon as I saw the Tineco S3 I knew I had to have it. We have hard floors in all the main rooms of our house and we have two beautiful but somewhat messy dogs. During the late Fall and Winter months I’m constantly battling mud carried in on the dogs paws. We also make full use of our kitchen, and with cooking comes the occasional spill. I don’t know if this is the first of its kind on the market or not but it’s the first time I’ve ever seen a vacuum anything like this and I knew it would fit my needs perfectly. The Tineco S3 vacuum comes well packaged in a sturdy box and includes an easy to follow quick start guide. Also included is a charging stand, deodorizing & cleaning solution, a second brush roller and a three-in-one cleaning tool. The unit was very easy to assemble, just click the handle into the main unit and the vacuum is assembled! Once you find a location for the charging base you will need to let the unit charge for about four hours before you use it. While the vacuum is charging I recommend reviewing the instruction manual to familiarize yourself with the safety, operation and maintenance instructions. The first thing I noticed about this vacuum is how sleek it looks. Tineco came up with an elegant and efficient, easy to use design! The water tanks are easy to remove and insert, the unit can stand up by itself when not in use, the handle is comfortable and the digital display is bright and easy to read. The display provides a lot of information and the layout is intuitive and easy to learn to read. The second thing I noticed is how deceivingly lightweight it is, while still feeling sturdy and well built. Using the vacuum is really fun and simple. To get started, fill the clean water tank and add the cleaning solution. Once the clean water tank is in place press the power button and the vacuum will start in “auto” mode. Auto mode uses tech to detect how dirty the floor is and applies the appropriate amount of solution and suction power. You can switch to “max” mode by pressing the “AUTO|MAX” button. If you decide not to use cleaning detergent, be sure to long press the “AUTO|MAX” button for 3 seconds after starting the vacuum. This lets the vacuum know you are using only water. The vacuum has done an amazing job on my floors. The mud and dirt on the basement floors came right up and have never looked better. Spills get sucked right up and don’t get spread around at all. The vacuum isn’t loud and is very easy to maneuver, although you cannot tilt it back further than 142 degrees, to avoid leakage. Once you are finished cleaning the floors you need to spend a little time cleaning the vacuum. You do need to clean it completely after each use, but Tineco has done as much as they can to make this a simple process. Cleanup time has taken me an average of fifteen minutes but I do a pretty thorough job and I’m getting quicker each time. The auto cleaning mode is nice but you do have to fill and empty the tanks as it completes its cycle. Overall I’m very happy that I got the Tineco S3. It’s an extremely well designed, top of the line, hard floor cleaning vacuum with some great technology built into it. Although there is a bit of cleanup after each use, I think it’s well worth the time for those days when you clean every floor in your house. For a minor spill here and there, I think I’ll continue to use some paper towels and bottle cleansers.

I was a little skeptical initially when I received this product. With other larger players in the market, it is quite challenging to launch and prove the effectiveness. This vacuum definitely deserves to be praised for the near build and the effectiveness. The best part is it also has a mop combined. The first thing I noticed is how easy and light weight the vacuum is. The second good part is that this vacuum can mop and wash the floor at the same time. The quality of work this vacuum provides is amazing. It does a very neat eventhough both functions are being performed at the same time. The third best part is it has a self cleaning function that cleans the vacuum. Fantastic for daily cleaning and dirt removal. It has made cleaning not much of a daily chore. The mopping or vacuuming doesn’t make a lot of noise as compared to other products in the market. It is also very lightweight and easy to carry around. It was very easy to assemble and use right away. Overall, a great product from tineco. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends.

Battery does not charge above 19% after less than 20 uses in 18 months.

Honestly, I might get called a boomer for this but for a vacuum it was overtly complicated to use, wasn’t dependable and returned within a week.

I believe the Tineco S5 Extreme is an essential household appliance for anyone with kids, pets, or both. It’s a good-looking device, has a fantastic battery life, a useable app function, sweeps and cleans the floors very well, and is easy to maintain thanks to the auto-cleaning mode and fully washable bins. When you unbox the Tineco S5, you’ll have a few things to put together, which isn’t too bad. The bonus part though is you’ll get three brushheads and two filters out of the gate, which makes it easy to use daily. The only real maintenance that you need to keep up with is running the auto cleaning mode, which automatically cleans your brushhead after use. Then, you’ll want to rinse out the dirty water bin and filter to keep those clean. If you don’t, or forget to empty the dirty water bin after a use, it will start to smell. Emptying is easy, but just make sure you do it! Now, as far as using the appliance, it’s pretty straightforward: there are three modes, auto, suction, and max. Auto mode works decent, as it auto-detects areas of your floor that needs more water and power to clean. I prefer to just clean my floors with max mode, though, as it really seems to pick up more than the auto mode does. Suction mode is designed to work to quickly clean up spills of any liquid. This mode also was good, but not great. It works but was a little clunky to use at first. The biggest thing is that you’ll need a fully clean water bin and brushhead to really make use of it, which means on-the-fly spills may not be as cut and dry to pick up. You’ll also find that all this cleaning, even in max mode, is pretty light on the battery life. My main areas of cleaning is my kitchen and dining. These two spots are about 400 sq. ft., and one run on only max mode will use about 20% of the battery. It’s hard to imagine a house big enough to completely drain the battery in one use. Once you’re done, plopping it back onto the charging dock will get it charged in about two-three hours from fully depleted. The only real cons are that the stand is a bit cumbersome and the auto mode isn’t perfect. The stand is hard to figure out how else you might combine the charger and auto cleaning mode in one, so I can’t fault Tineco too much. As for auto mode, it works as it should; sometimes, though, I just wished more water would come out more frequently like you see in the Max mode by default. I also haven’t tried it, but it would be nice to know if there were at least a few other cleaning solutions recommended to use, third-party-wise. Overall, this is a great product that actually cleans and does what is advertised.

Mine leaked and it also had the sensors rust quickly so i returned mine

I have waiting a LONG time for a product like this to appear. And it is one of those "smack yourself in the head that I didn't come up with this" ideas. My house is a mixture of hardwoods in the master, and tile and laminate in the rest of the house (carpet in my office, but.. meh). I have always dreaded the weekly floor routine. Vacuuming up the dog hair and debris, and then mopping afterwards to sanitize/freshen. Seeing that Mrs. TechieRN never wants to help, this product is a godsend! I had to read the following a few times for it to sink in, and maybe you will too: It vacuums and washes at the same time. IT VACCUMS AND WASHES AT THE SAME TIME! Not to mention it looks like something from NASA (hey, maybe this is how they clean the space station?) haha. Anyway, upon opening the box which is packed very thoughtfully, you are presented with everything you need to get started (except for water ha). The vacuum/washer was very easy to assemble. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the charging base/dock. Keeps everything where I need it. Before going any further, I have to hand it to TineCo. Everything is ergonomic and where it needs to be. There are no "awkward" buttons, or tray releases. This means a TON to me. The included cleaner and deodorizer smells heavenly. And I will stick with the brand once this bottle is empty. Lets get to it! In a weeks time (Saturday-Saturday) my house floors go from clean to a giant dog-fur warehouse. And with that fur is dander and a bunch of other nasties. Of course if Mr. Barks has an accident, then that is handled immediately (which the S5 also does wonders on!). And it gets into all the hard to reach corners. My previous routine was described above. Now.. Now.. It is so simple. And I was a skeptic at first. That one product could do both jobs. Cutting worktime in half! And it does. There was no spot, no corner, no fur-ball it could not handle. Someone spilled a few drops of a beverage on the laminate (cough cough) and forgot. The next day, it was a sticky mess. But the S5 made it like it never even happened! Not sure if the floor is completely clean/washed? Don't worry - the S5 KNOWS! On the "iLoop" display (an LCD display) the ring will turn completely blue when the floor or surface is clean. Eliminating all the guesswork! Cords? No. This thing is powerful and cordless. I get a fantastic 30 minutes of runtime (and I'm really REALLY working it). Don't want to touch anything icky? The S5 has you covered there too with a self cleaning function. Also, the S5 is dual tank. The clean and dirty water never mix. I am OCD when it comes to cleaning, and I thought my old routine was the best. I was wrong! The S5 has my floors looking BRAND NEW. The tile shines. The hardwood shines. The Laminate shines. Before it was "just" clean. Now it is clean and beautiful! WITH HALF THE EFFORT! There are absolutely no negatives I can find with this product! It is absolutely PERFECT! And that is saying a lot coming from me! Thank you Tineco!

Threw it away! Stopped working, kept saying it was clogged but nothing obstructing. It was junk

What places it in one star is that it works fantastic!...When it works. 95% of the time it says the DWT is full when the machine is completely spotless.

Trash broke within 10 months... Tineco support is awful and I have a better chance of walking on water then getting a return done.
