Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the Floor One S5 Extreme's exceptional cleaning performance and ease of use as its strongest selling points. Many appreciate its lightweight design and the convenience of its vacuum and mop combination. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the small water tank size and occasional charging issues. While a few mention suction and streaking, these appear to be less prevalent issues overall.

I am impressed with this machine!!!

The first time I saw this my daughter was using it for her new house. I was fascinated by the looks of the new floors she had put in and after workers and movers left her floor a mess she used the vacuum/mop before moving in and I was in awe of the cleanliness and shine from her floors. One year has gone by and she has a 2 year old who likes to run barefoot. They only have to Clean once each day and the babies feet never get dirty. I love it. I am disappointed I haven't bought mine yet because its not available in San Antonio near me. Had it in my cart for pick up and then it was sold. The cost is all over the place from 299.00 to 400.00 plus online. I really want to get this but am not sure if there is a new one that is out now since I am seeing them pop up as used from Ebay, FB Market Place and other people. I do not want a used one. So when I find this I will post my photos as my ceramic floor is white and can't wait to get it for the reason you see dirt from my husband just by walking in the house with black bottoms on his shoes. Enjoy everyone I am excited to get a black and white one if I can find it.

Best hard floor cleaner I have ever had

This machine is so easy to use and cleans like no other hard floor cleaner I have ever had. It picks up dirt instead of moving it around as a mop does. The self cleaning feature is great. It is lightweight and self propelled. My floors and ceramic tile and luxury vinyl and it works well on both. I also love that although it cleans very well, it uses a minimal amount of water and the floors dry very quickly. I highly recommend the Tineco floor cleaner.

I love this product, this isn’t the first one I have, I also have the s5 now which will be the upstairs one and this one will be the downstairs. From what I can find the s5 extreme seems to just be the new s5, a maybe little bit better and a year newer. But when I say a little bit better, I mean not in any seeable or usable way. That isn’t a bad thing as there is the s5 pro, just something to know. My wife also loves it. In fact, she loves it so much that she accidentally convinced five different people (family and friends) that they need one too, some of the went for the s3 others went for the s5, all absolutely love it. So, if that doesn’t say everything about this then I really don’t know what does. So, onto the review part of the review. I’ll start with the bad, the clean water tank and dirty water tank could be bigger, when mopping the entire downstairs, I need to fill up and empty a couple of times. I wish that the plug or base had a wire coil integrated. I wish I didn’t have to pick it up and put it back down to do a firmware update (I got a notification to do an update and I had to go lift it up and put it down for it to know it was plugged in). That’s it, I’m done with the bad and part of this and the bigger clean and dirty water tank isn’t necessarily a bad thing since the tradeoff is such a light and easy to use mop. When they show a picture of this sucking up cereal and milk, they aren’t exaggerating. I have done it on more than one occasion. I will clean it out after I use it and make sure the clean tank is full just to be able to grab it quickly for whatever mess. It will get up most any fresh mess and even some old messes. I do recommend cleaning it out after each use as milk or dog pee sitting in a dirty water holder can smell next time you empty it. The self-clean is also key to it being pretty low maintenance just to have their incase of a spill and to clean up the standard mess that just happens (after the dog cleans up of course). They say that it can get into corners good and that depends on what you mean by good, there was a spot that got left overnight and there was about a ½ inch of sticky stuff I needed to scrub off with a washcloth it couldn’t quite reach. But ½ inch is a lot better than other products I’ve used. I don’t use the app too often, but I do like to have it for changing the settings (voice on or off, volume, updates, etc.). Overall, I absolutely love this and I know that we wont be without one of these and have and would again recommend this to friends and family to buy and use.

The Tineco Floor One S3 is a thoughtfully designed device the combines vacuuming and cleaning for hard floors (including sealed hard wood) in one easy to use device. The cleaner is cordless, light weight, and has wheels – all of which make this device much easier to use than traditional or steam mops. In addition, the vacuuming function picks up dirt (vs. just dragging it around the floor in a mop) and sucks up excess water, speeding drying time and minimizing the chance of water damage on hard wood floors. Pros: - Uses separate clean and dirty water tanks to ensure only clean water (and cleaning solution) are applied to the floor. - Easy to use and effective, we found that this device left our sealed hard wood kitchen floors much cleaner than our usual mopping process. - Wheeled design is makes cleaning easy (and easy on your back). - Battery power eliminates the need to deal with a power cord. - Helpful display shows current action, remaining battery, and status messages (such as the need to empty the tank or clean the roller). - Excellent charging stand also prevents any potential for residual water to seep out and damage floors. - Voice prompts contribute to ease of use by giving clear directions any time user action is needed. - Self-cleaning functions for the roller and dirt channels. - Attractive design Cons: - Battery run time can be as short as 20 minutes in “max” mode. - Dirt sensor display can be inconsistent. - Some especially “stuck on” dirt may need to be manually scraped off the floor. - The compact nature of this device means the water tanks are a little small and thus need to be emptied/filled every few minutes. The Floor One S3 works a little like a carpet cleaner in that it takes water from a clean water tank (including cleaning solution if you elect to use it), applies it to clean the floor, and then sucks it into a dirty water tank. This two tank method is a great way to help ensure that, unlike traditional mopping, you’re not putting dirty water back onto the floors as you clean. It also helps to ensure that excess water is not left on the floor. The device uses a roller to agitate the cleaner and remove dirt from the floor. In general this works well and the cleaner left our floors looking and smelling great. In some cases, dirt was especially stuck to the floor and we needed to manually scrape it, but this would have been true for a steam mop too. Using the cleaner is easy. Add a cap of cleaning solution and fill the clean water tank, then clean the floor just like you would with a regular vacuum. The machine will periodically prompt you to empty the dirty water tank or fill the clean water tank as you go. The amount of dirt in the dirty water tank was ample evidence of the effectiveness of the cleaner. After cleaning, simply empty and rinse out the dirty water tank and set the cleaner back on the charging stand. The base of the stand completely protects the floor from any residual water. Once back on the base, the device auto-detects the level of dirt on the roller and will prompt an auto-cleaning cycle if needed. In our experience the self-cleaning function worked great and left the roller quote clean for the next use. This is a connected device and you can use the associated app for things like checking charging status and firmware updates, but the use of the app is not really required for regular operation. Overall this is a first rate little hard floor cleaner that’s easy to use, effective, well designed, and attractive. Its performance makes it easy to recommend.

So far so good. It's easy to use and it cleans well. The battery life has not been an issue. We have used it on both hardwood and ceramic tile. We purchased this to replace on old Hoover Floormate that finally died. It's a lot quieter than the floormate, and I love the fact that it's cordless. It seems to clean just as well.

Sleek and sexy floor cleaner that performs well

Overall, we really liked this unit. It is sleek and sexy, but can be a little temperamental until you get used to it. Opening the box and assembling the unit was straightforward and easy. It comes with 2 extra cleaning rollers and an extra filter, a charging base with ac adaptor, and the unit itself. It took a few hours to charge before we could begin to use. To get started, we filled the clean water tank, adding the cleaning solution as directed. It is pretty simple, but the tanks take a little getting used to getting them back into their proper position. Fitment is tight so it kinda had to go in just right. When turning on, make sure you hold the power button for a second and it will start right up. I recommend downloading the app as you can adjust the power and spray levels beyond the preprogrammed Auto and Max modes. Downloading the app is easy, just make sure you have your wifi password handy! Operationally, this product works very well!! We have a pet floor cleaner that we have been using and this thing held it’s own. It cleans very well. It detects how dirty your floor is and adjusts water output to match. It picks up loose particles easily and cleans the floor quite effectively. We have a parrot so there is always some seed on the floor around the cage and this unit picked everything up first pass. The unit drives itself, you just have to steer. When adjusting the power modes, the highest power setting we quite powerful. An added bonus is that because the unit is so quiet, our dog doesn't bark it’s head off the entire time like it does for our other floor cleaner. Definitely saves on the headache factor!! In regards to the downsides, because this product is so sleek and slender, the water tank capacities are lacking. We have to empty the dirty and fill the clean tanks several times when doing our floors. It’s kind of a pain. Also, the recommended post cleaning maintenance seems a little excessive. They recommend the roller, covers, and filters to be removed and cleaned after every use. Kind of nitpicky, but inconvenient. Because of these, I am taking a star, but overall we really like it.

A Love Affair with my Tineco

After 22 years of living in this home, I can finally say my floors are clean!! I have tried cleaning the floors on my hands and knees, using a mop, a steam cleaner, an electric mop with rotating heads and every brand under the sun. I read many of the reviews for Tineco--ranging from loving it to too hard to maintain/clean, etc. So far, I LOVE this machine! My tile floors actually look shiny. I can easily move from tile to the small portion of engineered floors. Based on what I read, I am taking extreme care in cleaning it out, running the self clean option and keeping parts dry. It only talks to me when necessary. I love the different cleaning levels and its' ability to know when it needs extra solution on the floor. My floors are dry within less than a minute--of course, I live in the desert, so this may have something to do with it. I hope this love affair goes on for a long time!

I’ve learned that anytime you introduce water into the cleaning process, expect a large amount of upkeep to the device using the water. This unit is no exception requiring almost a complete disassembly to clean and let dry before the next use. Our contractors recently finished remodeling the main level of our home including the install of LVP flooring. It surprised me how much dirt and grime quickly accumulated as the contractors continued working on the home after the flooring install. After a couple of rounds with the Dyson, the floor still just felt chalky and dirty so we figured we would give the Tineco a shot at deep cleaning. In Auto Mode this thing flys across the floor making us question if it was doing anything useful. It’s only after you look in the discarded water bin that you discover how filthy the floor actually is, and what a great job this thing is doing sucking it all in. The visual displays on the unit are easy to understand allowing us to re-glide it over the areas that were the nastiest. After a couple of tank refills the floors felt great on our bear feet; at least until the next day when another round of construction continued. While it is a pain to have to remove the roller, the bin, and the discarded water bin each time the unit is used, and. Then throughly clean each one, Tineco does make it simple to keep track of everything with a nice docking solution. The unit comes with a spare filter and spare roller for super fast turn around, though the dock only includes space for one at a time. After day 3 of this same cleaning routine the unit decided it was time for a self-clean, which has to be done while the unit is plugged into the dock. The self-clean is not quick and very loud, so I would highly advise keeping this thing tucked away in a room you can’t hear from the rest of the house. Overall we are pleased with the performance of this unit, we just wish there was less effort required to clean it out.

    Really beats mopping

This is a one step floor cleaner. It beats the heck out of mopping, rinsing and waiting forever on the floor to dry. This machine is compact, lightweight and maneuverable. A cap full of cleaning solution added to the full water tank and you're ready to go. It is rechargeable so there are no cords to deal with. I have 3 bathrooms, two half baths, a kitchen, butlers pantry and laundry room with floors that require mopping. I can do all of the bathrooms on one charge and the butlers pantry, kitchen and laundry room on another using the max mode. In automatic mode I can clean all of these floors on one charge. Max mode uses more water/cleaning solution and battery. In both modes it dispenses cleaning solution, scrubs with the cloth like brush roller and vacuums up most of the liquid. There is a digital display that that senses and shows the amount of dirt on the floor so that you know which areas to concentrate on or switch to max mode. I was amazed at the amount of cat hair picked up in the kitchen area considering that that area was dust mopped earlier in the day. I was also amazed at the amount of hair picked up in our bathroom. None of this hair was visible when I began the cleaning. I even tried this in our shower and it did a great job. The machine has a self cleaning cycle that kicks in when placed on the charging dock. The charging dock holds a spare cleaning brush, HEPA filter and scrub brush. While there is an app and WiFi connectivity, I have trouble with connectivity. My WiFi mesh system doesn't allow you to select one band or the other, it automatically assigns a band. This machine does not connect with the 5g band and my router keeps trying to connect it to 5g. I'll blame my router not this cleaner for this. I love this machine, it beats the heck out of mopping and does a terrific job.

If you have ever used or rented a carpet cleaner, then this is basically the same process except on hard surface floors. I admit that my wife and I will vacuum our floors every other day, and steam clean them once a week. We have a 2600 square foot house, with 600 square feet of carpet and the other 2000 square feet of ceramic tile or hardwood. Using the Tineco S5 is simple and a fun device to use, it pulls itself along the floors and you do not have to put a lot of effort into it. On the first use we were surprised on how dirty the water was even though we had just vacuumed the floor the day before. I had some pictures, but they were too embarrassing to post. So, it does a great job of getting your floors clean. My one complaint is that when you remove the dirty water tank to empty it, I always come back to a puddle of water where the machine is, I am not sure if it is an issue of water being halfway through the process and it empties out or an issue with the intake, but its always there when I go to clean the tank. It is a really impressive machine, it has an app to go along with the machine, I rarely use it since the machine already bosses me around enough. It tells you when to empty the dirty water tank, it tells you when to clean the device, it tells you when to add more water and it tells you when to charge it. It’s kinda bossy as my wife says. The base that the machine sits on is the charging station and the self-cleaning station. You put the machine back on the base it will start charging and will let you know to start the self-cleaning process. It also comes with an extra roller and dry filter to change out between cleanings. I really do like the S5, it takes the burden out of sweeping then mopping the floor. You do them both at the same time.

seems to work pretty good. it has auto detect that i am not to sure on yet. a couple times i had something that i had to manually change to max setting for it to get the gunk up. But it is nice to basically sweep and mop and same time. 4 stars. well a couple things. first thing was that i could not use the app. my phone does not have a camera so i tried manual and just could not get it to connect. not that its really needed but i am a tech savy kinda guy so just wanted to use that to try it lol. another thing is that when i was done, i got it down to about 35 percent. i put on the charger and it self cleanse. i noticed it then dropped down to 29 percent. not sure why it would not charge and self clean. i did not drain it down to 1 percent or so to see if it would still self clean or if it would die. also while self cleaning, i bumped it one time and noticed it then re connected to charge and went thru the self clean process again. so if you have pets and they run by it right after you get done or kids etc, if they bump it and cause it to come off charger and back on then it will ask for you to start the self clean cycle. but those are small things for me. and again i enjoy just grabbing this and go. i did not get a huge mess like cereal on the floor. so not sure how well it would be with that. i would love to see a vacuum/broom/mop combo lol. would be nice to vacuum, and if you have hard floors vacuum that up as well but then mop at the same time. i also love the color scheme of this. looks nice. easy to use and light as well. when on, it basically is like a vacuum were it self pulls itself so that makes it easy to use as well.

All three functions - mop, vacuum, and self clean - work well. The unit is light and easy to maneuver. The sensor light/indicator is helpful when cleaning - let's you know when you've hit a dirty spot, not always so visible to the eye. There are two containers on this unit - (1) where you fill it with clean fluid and (2) where dirty fluid is captured. The dirty fluid container is small than I'd like. I find myself having to empty it more often than I'd like. That said, when emptying the dirty fluid container, you'll see how dirty you're floors actually are. It's gross but at the same time, you can visually see how this device works well. It's clear evidence that this unit works well. I did a lot of research before landing on this model. I'm happy with the purchase. If you're in the market, don't hesitate to pull the trigger on this one - you won't be disappointed.
