We bought it end of April and it already has stopped working. It leaves a trail of water behind, it stinks, it doesn’t suction, it doesn’t clean up the easiest of things, it’s horrible with pet hair it picks it up but spits it back out. I’ve checked no clogs, I put new roller on, new filter nothing helps. It says on the mop to replace roller every 6months, I was having to replace mine every 2 weeks. My house is not that dirty and used like once a week. I loved my original Tineco it lasted me 4 years. These newer models barely last 6months. I’ve never been more disappointed. I didn’t bother with company after seeing countless reviews on how bad customer service is. I wish I could return. Sucks when you pay hundreds of dollars for these and don’t even get a year out of it..

Good all-in-one mop/vacuum. Best for small places.

I have two papillon pups, two cats, and several reptiles. Needless to say, it's an uphill battle to care for the floors and all the pets. I have an autonomous robo vacuum that does a daily pre-programmed touch up, but the floors often need a good mopping at least once a week. This device overall does a good job of mopping and vacuuming at the same time. It's simple to use, and is surprisingly quiet for such a device. My dogs were nervous, but not scared of it, like they are a regular vacuum. One of our papillons is a 10 week old puppy, so we have more spills of moistened kibble, torn pee pads, and other messes than usual. This was pretty good at cleaning up all the spots. Several times, however, it required a few passes and slight pressure to get some of the dried spots out of the tile. Compared to a classic mop/waterbucket, however, it dried super fast and the puppies were able to play on the floor within 15 minutes of mopping compared to the 35-45minute dry time of a traditional mop. Really my only "Fault" with the product is that it requires their own brand of cleaning solution. I'm a little unsure how easily it will be to secure more in the future without ordering directly from the manufacturer. If the unit was compatible with the solutions sold at most stores, even if not perfectly ideal for them from a moneymaking viewpoint, it'd be nice to know. So TLDR; Good mop, decent vacuum. Great for single room frequent use or small homes/apartments. Larger homes with spacious rooms will need frequent charges and refills of the very small solution/water tank. Small footprint so it will easily store in a kitchen cabinet or coat closet. VERY minimal buttons and info screen. So easy to use, an old man like me figured it out in minutes.

Just Wonderful

I have tried many different mops over the years but never had a floor washer. This Tineco is my first floor washer and I am impressed for sure. Let me start with the design of this thing. I like the modern and sleek styling of it. The display is very clear and vibrant which makes it easy to see and read quickly without having to stop for a second. It's pretty simple to assemble straight out of the box. That is a plus. It includers a couple roller brushes, a cleaning tool, cleaning solution and the charging base. Once I had it put together and charged, I went to work. I used it on my kitchen floor. I have a messy cat and he tracks litter and just makes messes everywhere. This floor washer made easy work of it. I went over my entire kitchen only once and I can't believe how clean it got my floors. It vacuumed and mopped everything perfectly, even along the edges and corners. It makes it so much easier than mopping too. My floor literally looks brighter than before. It took me about a half an hour to clean it all up and it ran the whole time. The battery still has some life left over as well. The dirty water bin was easy to empty and then I popped it on it's base and let it be. I am so pleased this thing. Great product from Tineco!

Premium Look and Superior Performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As various hardwood and luxury vinyl plank flooring becomes more popular the market for powered mops/cleaners seems to become evermore present. Tineco seems to have moved themselves into that top tier of the market though with the quality of products they have put out in the past few years. I had previously been using an older Tineco model for the past few years and the upgrade to the 5 series has been great and thus for those who this may be their first powered mop/vacuum they will not be disappointed! First, right out of the box, the matte black/white finish of the vacuum gives it that premium look that mimics the premium feel once it is in hand. Getting everything up and running is a breeze as you simply lock the handle into the base of the vacuum. Once placed on the charger it does take some time to fully charge, but while waiting the directions are helpful to read to ensure you are familiar with how it works though the process is extremely simple. Onto the actual performance though is where this vacuum sets itself apart. The new brush design is not just a buzzword here as it actually allows the vacuum to get into places that previous versions did not due to extended brush head. Also the larger water tank is great as it now requires less changing during use which leads to the 30 minute run time as that holds true here as now I can get through my entire main floor without having to recharge the vacuum. Some features to mention that still hold true with this model are that the actual cleaning performance is top notch. Everything I have thrown at the previous model the past few years seems to continue to hold true here as performance is right on par with what you would expect as there is no need to do any additional cleaning once you hit your floors with this vacuum. This especially holds true for pet owners as I have a golden retriever that sheds plenty and I have not had any issues with it removing all the pet hair. It does have different modes, but the "iLoop Sense technology" does a great job so just leaving it on the "Auto" setting is what I would recommend for optimal performance while retaining battery life. With this is that the display is wonderful as it gives you that reassurance that the area is clean and also notes the performance setting it is on and the battery life remaining. Upon completion of your cleaning the cleanup of the vacuum is a breeze as the self cleaning function takes care of everything for you and also the fact that the vacuum was made for pet owners helps in that there is no odor or smelly residue remaining after use. Overall, from the sleek design to the performance this vacuum hits everything you would want from a cordless mop/vacuum. The new designed brush and larger water tank are great additions to this model which shows that Tineco is not simply reissuing old products, but is continuing to ensure their products are superior. Thus, I would not hesitate to recommend this vacuum to anyone in the market for one.

Pleasantly Surprised

Upon first using the floor cleaner, I had a sense that this machine was more tedious than it needed to be. The main living area of our home is wood flooring, which was (mopped) cleaned 4 days ago. We also have 2 large dogs who have free access to outside. Our dog run is landscaped with pavers and artificial turf. There are 4 of us living here and, though we should, we don’t take our shoes off before entering the house. (Just setting the scene here.) I first swept our floor, to pick up most of the dog hair. Then I used Auto Mode for my first floor cleaning session. I already had a sense that you need to move the floor cleaner slowly over the floor. It seems logical to me that if you move too fast, it will not clean as well. So, this is the tedious part of using this cleaner. I thought that this was not as fast as using a bucket of water and a mop. However, I quickly realized that I also wasn’t needing to constantly stop and empty a bucket of dirty water, then refill with clean water. Perhaps this floor cleaner is more efficient than I first thought, or at the very least, breaks even in the time it takes to use a regular mop. I also noticed that it seems to use just the right amount of water to do its job, which is great for wood floors. During the cleaning process, the machine will detect how dirty the floor is and adjust it’s cleaning accordingly. This is indicated by the blue circle light on the display, which will gradually change to red when it detects the floor is more dirty. Most of the time, the light stayed blue for me, only occasionally moving to a dark pink. I became doubtful when areas where I expected it to be dirty never lit up red, like in front of the doggy door or an exterior door. There was one area, near my son’s room, where it went completely red. This may have been an area that was missed being cleaned the last time. I just went over that area a few times until the light turned blue again. Once I was done, I removed the dirty water tank to dump it. Holy moly! The water was very dirty. There was also a surprising amount of dog hair in the tank as well. I really doubt we made our floors that dirty in just 4 days. Plus, I’ve always wondered how clean our floors were getting using a mop. Whatever the reason, this floor cleaner ended up doing a great job at cleaning our floors. I’m very happy with this product.

It’s a mop that has suction - Not a vacuum.

They advertise it as a combination power-mop/vacuum/multi-purpose floor cleaner but all of these Teneco devices are just power mops with suction. They in NO way can be used as a vacuum-only mode for picking up dry items on your hard floor or carpet. I also used to have the 3-Series variant of this device. This one seems like a newer model year of that system. Same basic design. Same lights and controls. Same single-use-case. On to the intended purpose itself: As a floor cleaner it’s quite effective, but it’s fluid reservoirs (I’ve found this on all their models) leave much to be desired wrt capacity. Both the clean and dirty water tanks deplete and fill (respectively) multiple times during a single floor cleaning, and the solution is very specific. If these worked with plain water or a more commonly-available additive, this wouldn’t be as much of a problem. I think the issue lies in how the machine works. It uses clean/solution water for both detergent on the floor, as well as to keep the brush/mop head clean during cleaning, which wastes some of the clean water, and puts dirty water from the head, as well as what is suctioned up, into the dirty tank. This works through the clean water quickly. If not for those issues, boredoms and inefficiencies, it’s a good power mop. It’s a bit noisy, but this new 5-Series version talks less and has less obnoxious noises than my older model. I’d recommend if you know what you’re getting feature-wise, but this is going to co fuse a lot of buyers who think they’re getting a 3-in-1.
