Bottom line up front: This game is different from the first, but this is a good thing and this game deserves all the praise it has received. The addition of a single player was much needed. The campaign is fairly short depending on which difficulty you play, but it is an excellent introduction to the game and it's mechanics. It is engaging, fun, and seemless. It brings back elements from old games where you had defined boss battles and gives a bit of nostalgia for the older generation of gamers. The multiplayer has had its ups and downs from the start but respawn had been highly active in ensuring balance and fairness in the game. You're always going to have your naysayers, and the game can den to have net code and server/client rock rate issues at times bit for the most part the gameplay is fast paced, exciting, and different everytime. The mechanics smooth, movement is smooth, and you always feel like you can learn more. The leveling up system has changed from the first and it is pretty basic and straightforward. This is good for newcomers but for those of us use to the first one, it feels bland. The lack of challenges in regeneration is sorely missed. The change to the titans was much needed. Many compassion about the lack of customisation from the first game, but the first game devolved into everyone using the same loadout and quickly became boring. This new style allows people to master a style that suits their play, or try to get comfortable with something new. The titans themselves have a rock, paper, scissors feel to them and each one had their best and worst matchups. You could be dominating one minute and then turn around and be facing your greatest weakness. This really forces players to think strategically and figure out how to best use their titan and set themselves up for success, or utter failure. The maps themselves have become more lane based, but they have included, and continue to include old maps. This again is to appeal to newcomers use to call of duty games. This helps with getting use to the games mechanics and the old feel is still there once you get use to the movement. This also allows for more predictable engagement areas and less chaos than the first one. This does not mean that you don't have to be as aware of your surroundings, far from it. Those who get good at the mechanics, movement, and maps can still reek havoc on players. This can be a problem for newcomers as this is a new concept for first person shooters. Even though call of duty tried to copy titanfall, it is call of duty players who seem to have the hardest time adapting. But I promise, if you can learn it, it is the most satisfying thing to be wall running and kill someone, drop down to execute another, leap up and fly across the map and into your titan and then destroy the enemy Titan that had been wrecking your team. You won't regret buying this game and you'll have hours of game time invested before you know it.

Bought the game for my boys to play together. Once home and opened we found out the game is only multi player if using different consoles and thru xbox live. The kids wanted to play together thru the same console... very disappointed

I was able to get early access to this game and it now has a single player campaign and WOW is it everything I wished for, you play as Jack Cooper, a rookie trying to become a pilot. After he's left for dead in an exotic wasteland he comes across this Titan Ripley that's original pilot died, you and him link up and form a bond through 25 missions and over 15 hour campaign. Thorough it all you fight for survival, friendship and courage that you can do anything. Also multiplayer returns with a vengeance. There is also new weapons and gadgets such as a harpoon gun, rope launcher and grappling hook. This game has heart and is so thrilling. I give it a solid 10/10 ENJOY!

I did not play Titanfall 1 but I'm digging 2. I've played several mech-type games over the years and I never liked one of them. I always wanted to but controlling the mechs seemed clunky to me regardless of which mech game I was playing. Not this time! The Titans are so fun to control and to dominate the battlefield. Several Titans to choose from. What surprised me was how much fun it is to run around as the pilot. Great assortment of weapons and agile movement. Solid multiplayer. Plenty of game modes and customization. I haven't finished the campaign (4hrs in) so I cannot comment on the length but, so far, the quality is there.

    Very Impressed with Titanfall 2!

The original Titanfall game still lingered on my mind when I first fired up Titanfall 2; it was busy, confusing, and lacked a true single player campaign. I wanted to really like Titanfall but couldn't...I wasn't a PVP or multiplayer gamer at the time. Now there's Titanfall 2 by Respawn Entertainment & EA. Titanfall 2 is Incredible! The visuals pop, the storyline carries the gamer along, and the main characters & enemies are memorable. Heck, I actually had grown attached to Titan BT-7274 by the end of the game! With no spoilers...there's some interesting Gameplay within Titanfall 2 too. The Pilot and Titan move without the constant annoying environment "invisible wall or rocks" seen in a lot of game titles today and for the most part, wall running is easier than in the first title. I've played some of the multiplayer and without a doubt, it's back bigger than ever. Team up with your friends and play the Titanfall 2 PVP game types like Attrition and Hard Point and it'll have your hands sweating and adrenaline pumping; complete fun and I'm not even a hardcore multiplayer. Respawn Entertainment, You Guys did Titanfall 2 justice! I'm actually even replaying the single player campaign and working towards the achievements I didn't get the first time through; for me that says a lot because I've lost interest quickly with a lot of games released in the last 2 years. With multiple weapon loadouts, I'm not going to be bored. Titanfall 2 also doesn't punish those "completionist" type players either. Each chapter is easily accessible from the main Campaign menu. I do hope there's another Titanfall game in the works...and if the end of game credits scene has anything to say about it, I'm hoping Yes.

What can I, its Titanfall. They changed a lot from the first Titanfall. More titans, more weapons. I think it's a little slower moving then the first game. but still good with the campaign mode.

Fast paced, exciting, and fun. I just finished my play through of the campaign and I was blown away! For a game property that was founded on the premise of multiplayer only, Respawn created an amazing universe to tell a single player story. Multiplayer is fast paced and satisfying. If you enjoy multiplayer FPS games, or you are simply looking to get emotionally attached to a giant robot in a single player story, Buy this game! You will not regret it.

    Hands Down Great AAA Title

Titanfall in 2010 was somewhat rather seen both good and bad. Because of how it divided its player base with purchasable DLC. They elevated the bar and made a great decision on making content free. Like Halo 5 and Rainbow 6 Siege you're getting a FULL GAME. With FREE additional content per update. No longer is the Titanfall community divided in this game. Although Single Player is limited and could become bigger. This game is at its prime when played in Multiplayer. Like I said, the CONTENT. IS. FREE. Sure, some PRIME TITANS ate purchasable. But that's up on you. Cosmetics that give no advantage that you want is entirely up to you. This game will build on itself with the new content.

Great game. I didn't play Titanfall 1 so I can't compare it to that but I really enjoyed Titanfall 2 and it's campaign and multiplayer. Very different than to COD or Battlefront.

Titanfall 2's campaign is a great step up from the previous edition since it didnt have one. The multiplayer's endless customization and game modes really flesh it out as well. No need for DLC this time.

There is several levels where you must jump from point A to B, the saves makes it nice but it can get frustrating but the combat is fun. I stopped playing after getting to a jumping level that got frustrating; I was playing at the easiest level.
