Customers frequently mention the fast-paced gameplay and fun Titans as major highlights of Titanfall. Many also praise the game's action, price point, and maps. However, some players express disappointment with the limited campaign mode and lack of a robust single-player experience. The absence of a compelling storyline is also a recurring criticism.

Shooter Shooting for Superiority in...Shooters
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft sat fidgeting in it's giant chair. It looking a lot less imposing as it once had, having been cut down multiple times in what was the battle of E3 2013. It, however, knew it had one last battle plan, one last ditch effort to entice users into buying it's much talked about Xbox One system. On March 11 in the year 2014, it unleashed it's warrior onto the battlefield of the console wars. It's name, one word, Titanfall. In the last year that the X1 was announced, many were skeptical about it delivering as a system. Many assumed it would die out quickly, what with the confusing policy reversal and other faulty PR that the company had to overcome. One game was touted above the rest, more so than some first party offerings, and that was Titanfall. Coming from Respawn Entertainment, made up of former Infinity Ward employees (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Series), Microsoft was hoping for a new revolution in online multiplayer. Now that it's here, I'm not so sure it's a revolution, but it is a ton of fun. The game is incredibly balanced. Everything is fine tuned to make it were no one weapon towers above the rest. Which is great in a multiplayer arena. Not once did I feel like I was at a lose starting out, I knew the toys would come in, but I was still a formidable force on the ground even with my starters. Everything is put where it needs to be and were it can function properly, nothing is over powered. The Titans, while imposing, can be taken down with the right amount of skill and footwork, even on foot. The only mark I can put against it is the lacking campaign, it's there but it really has no purpose. It's always online and a little distracting when teammates drop out while your playing, not that your actions matter, the story plays out the same no matter what. This is a great foundation for future games in the series, which there will be. If you are desperate for something new on the X1, give Titanfall a shot. If you want depth, than wait it out for something of the RPG variety to come along.

Such Titans! Many Falls!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Titanfall is, IMO, the best multi-player game of last year. I owned it from day one on PC and still play it regularly to this day so when I saw it on sale for Xbox One I couldn't pass it up. Fantastic game!

Amazing fast paced first-person-shooter!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Battling with giant robots, what else do you need? In all seriousness, this game is amazing. It strays from the classic FPS recipe, which in this case, is great. The controls and weapons have been reimagined for Titanfall, resulting in fast, fun, chaotic battles for domination. It is a breath of fresh air for compared to the same old 4th or 5th generation shooters (looking at you COD). Titanfall has much more of an "arcade" game feel. Not so focused on tactics, but more all around fun gameplay.

Great Game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game and worth all the hype. The fast past action is a huge plus and the multiple options are amazing. The game will only get better with the each DLC release. If you don't own this then you're missing out.

A must add-on for Xbox one collectors
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is totally awesome. I can't be mad if titanfall will be added to remaining consoles in the future. Gameplay, graphics, and high replay are just some of the reason a must have in your gaming library!

Really fun game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the game a lot, it has many different game types to choose from. There are usually always plenty of people online to play with. The titans are fun and even my 8 year old can play without any problems.

Balanced FPS. No single player campaign.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this game a lot, but it is not the killer app that will make you pick a next-gen console. The graphics are great, and the gameplay is balanced, but you need to be online to play. I like that the teams are small (6 vs 6) and there are bots to shoot. This helps with the game balancing (my hands don't twitch as fast as others). Also, there is no single player campaign. For $50 bucks, it should have come with one. Let's see what the "season" brings.

Good multiplayer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid multiplayer action. Being that the map packs are free and the price point was $7.99 when I bought it, it was well worth the money.

The shooter to get.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought Titanfall not really sure what to expect. The game has been great and ive logged many hours into it. The game play is amazing and smooth and fair. but the campaign isnt much to look at, because its all online, they had to do it while your ingame and playing. So you really just hear the voices in the background but its hard to focus on that when your trying to stay alive. But Titanfall is about the game play and not campaign. Its a great game and is something new. Its a great buy!

Bought another one to gift my nephew
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this game when it came out. What a fun and cool game. The training is easy to follow. When it was on sale for only 8 bucks, I bought another copy so my nephew doesn't have to borrow mine anymore.

Awesome game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this game for my 10 year old son and he loves it! It reminded him of Halo ...only cooler. The multiplayer mode is very fun. This game is probably one of the top 3 games for the xbox one. A must have!

My Son Loves It
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my son who loves it. He has been playing it with a friend on X-box Live. They had enough fun, that a third friend bought Titan fall just so he could play with them.

Solid Game Could be 5 Stars
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gotta say I love Titanfall... it's the best and technically only game I have on my Xbox One (not including killer instinct). If you're a fan of Call of Duty you'll feel at home with Titanfall. However understand that Titanfall is NO Call of Duty clone... as far as basic game play mechanics go the formula is similar - but that's where the similarities die. Titanfall feels like an overall smoother more polished product where it counts. The gunfights are fast, always interesting and very rewarding when you pull off great feats. The addition of the Titans takes the game to a whole different level. I could go on and on but in short the game is just loads of fun. I'd love to sit here and give this great game 5 stars but the game itself is so good, that it's shortcomings pretty much slap you in the face. Why can't I customize my loadout titles? Why can't I customize my character or my Titan? I know this is the first iteration of the game but its multiplayer only... why aren't there more guns? more game modes (not really a big issue for me)? more maps? The game is so fun and addictive once you unlock everything all you're left with is the feeling that you want to do more... you need more... more Titanfall... more options and more ways to play. Its not a terrible thing but you'd expect for a multiplayer only game they would have added all of this stuff to leave the competition with no easy reason/ability to bash what Titanfall offers. I hear they will be bringing some features that are missing in future updates... which will make the game even better and earn them that last STAR in my book. If you have an Xbox One... this is a must buy (if you like first person shooters)

Excellent edition to the online FPS genre.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical and half expected this game to be a disappointment due to the massive hype. I wouldn't call it revolutionary, but there is enough different in the game to set it apart from the COD's. I've been enjoying this much more than any recent online FPS so far. The dynamic of going back and forth between your pilot and titan is pretty cool, and the different weapons and burn card system add positively to the whole experience. Best game I've played for the Xbox One so far.

Great shooter

Best game I've ever played. Period.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a gamer since the original Nintendo with super mario brothers, river city ransom, megaman and the like as well as an early adopter of the N64 and the Xbox when it was first released. I have played hundreds of different games along with all the blockbuster games (the entire halo series, most of the COD series, Bioshock, and many others) and I can say without a doubt that this is the best game I have ever played period. There's never a dull moment and the movement is mind blowing. I constantly find myself saying "xbox record that... and that... record that too..." because it seems like every moment in the game is epic in one way or another. At first I thought this game wan't going to be good for hardcore gamers who only play counter strike and hate the constant lucky grenades, spawn kills, and dumb luck kills that seem to plague the COD series. After putting 11 hours of game time into this game so far I've found that hardcore gamers will love this too because there is a very high skill cap. You can't just master lateral movements and aiming and think you'll be good at this game. Instead of just aiming horizontally and strafing you have to aim horizontally and vertically while strafe, jump up walls and moving significantly faster than most other FPS games I've played. The really skilled players in this game seem almost untouchable which is great because there is always room to improve. On the flip side there is also a high skill floor for players who are just getting into the game because of the NPCs (Non Playable Characters) AKA bots. It gives new players the satisfaction of still being able to rack up kills and have fun even if they can't successfully go toe to toe with experienced players. I am thoroughly impressed with this game and am looking forward to see what else Respawn produces. If there ever was a "COD killer" this would be it.

An action packed FPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is no ordinary FPS though. Intense action in this online only game is a constant. Large Titan robots fighting fighting amongst a battlefield of troops leads to quite the amazing experience.

addictive, but could be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TF is a great game. It's a Call of Duty game on steroids. So, if you like CoD, you will love TF. The is pretty smooth. I have not seen any lags. The graphics are awesome. The action is very intense, but overwhelming at times. There are lot's of new things to love like the Titans, and the extra AIs on the battlefield. My biggest complain is the lack of private matches, but they are supposed to fix that soon; and matches feel a bit short.
