Customers are saying
Customers frequently mention the fast-paced gameplay and fun Titans as major highlights of Titanfall. Many also praise the game's action, price point, and maps. However, some players express disappointment with the limited campaign mode and lack of a robust single-player experience. The absence of a compelling storyline is also a recurring criticism.

Good game at a great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a little slow getting into the action as there are 12 training missions you've got to complete but after that it's pretty good.

awesome multiplayer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Played the Alpha, Beta and was instantly hooked. Running on walls, double jumping is super fun and a change of pace compared to other FPS'. No blood and guts violence so its not horrible around kids. There is a campaign its online only and you still advance if your team wins or looses...take that whatever way you want. Very enjoyable and I can see this has hours of fun that won't get old.

OK game but not a standout
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is an ok FPS but nothing special. The graphics do not stand out for being on a next gen system. The multiplayer is the highlight of the game with fast paced intense matches and a good variety of maps. Multiplayer is carried out in typical FPS formats such as domination, team death match, and capture the flag. The campaign and story line is very limited and simply consists of a series of multiplayer games with some limited audio injections while you are playing the matches. Overall I think this is a decent game but by no means lives up to the hype. If you can only afford one new game for your new Xbox One do not get this game.

Very good game, but not enough
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm going to take a little different approach on this review. I see a lot of reviews getting slammed because they were expecting a single-player or cooperative campaign, and didn't read the fine print. I, on the other hand, knew that going in and I'm saying that what they released isn't nearly enough to warrant a five star review. The game is fantastic, don't get me wrong. Resolution and graphics are solid, gameplay is smooth, frantic and fast paced. In short, it is a wonderful multiplayer experience--but so are plenty of other games. There is a lot you'll be familiar with here if you are a fan of multiplayer games. You have a character--you play and get kills--you get to level up and thus, get new stuff. Nothing new there. Now in this case, you have your mech, and depending on how you use him, he is either a vehicle (If you are inside) or an AI controlled squaddie (If he's following you around.) Is that new? Maybe, I mean who doesn't like having a 20 foot tall mech at his back. But revolutionary, absolutely not. There were articles out there saying this was the "first true next gen title." I don't see it. It's good. It's solid, and it's a great multiplayer experience, but the lack of a cooperative or single player experience makes me feel like they released half a game. It would certainly be worth $40, but $60 is a little steep. They tried to weave a story into the multiplayer experience, but there's nothing there that is going to leave you feeling overly satisfied, or at least it hasn't with me. This is a great multiplayer game. But a great multiplayer game, by itself, is not worth $60. I knew that going in and I bought it anyway. I make a good living and don't care about spending an extra $60 to play with my friends, but a lot of people don't have that luxury. And if you're like me, you expect more out of "Next Gen" games--not less. And this game just shows the disappointing trend of continuing to cater to the multiplayer crowd and neglect everyone else. Sad, but true. Titanfall is a shooter. Here is how you build a five star shooter, folks. I'll use one of my favorites as an example. Gears of War 3. A fantastic campaign, competitive multiplayer with far more options than Titanfall offers. Still not enough? No problem, then you can play cooperative multiplayer with your friends against bots, for those times when you aren't in the mood for playing with a bunch of bratty twelve year olds. Still not enough? No problem! Hop over and play the fantastic Horde Mode for even more fun. THAT is a fully fledged shooter worth $60. In fact, after having the discussions, I think I will probably end up knocking Titanfall down to two stars. When you have a company try to sell a game like this for the same price as a shooter that offers much, much more, Titanfall really shows its lack of polish. As a gamer and consumer, it should be insulting. As consumers we vote with our dollars. And every copy of this game that sells is a vote that says--We as consumers accept games that lack features. I say think hard before you do that.

Very fun, but some drawbacks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though I have never been a huge fan of the FPS genera, I have been having quite a bit of fun with this game. It is like a cross between Mirror's Edge, Call of Duty, and Mechwarrior. The "move and shoot" combat style is very fast paced and fun with most matches lasting ten to fifteen min. There is not currently an abundance of weapons, I think there are a total of ten pilot weapons, three side arms, and four types of ordinance with an additional five or six titan weapons and four types of titan ordinance. I am hoping they add a few more different types of weapons, especially non standard weapons such as the Smart Pistol they designed. One note with regards to sniping: due to the nature of the movement based combat and no hard cover system, sniping in the traditional sense is very difficult and if that is your specialty, you will have to adapt to the different combat style in this game. Overall it is quite fun and I will probably continue playing this in my rotation of games at least until The Division comes out or until I get frustrated with the lack of teamwork displayed by some of the teams I have been on. The good thing about that though is if you keep playing you will get different teammates in a few matches more than likely.

Great Game, but....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I was super excited for this game. But the more I think about it. The more I find I had my expectations raised a little too high. The most glaring issue, in my opinion, is the lack of a traditional campaign mode. Instead you have a online match hybrid with a minute of verbal storytelling. Then basically an xbox live multiplayer match. Now, while some gamers i would assume enjoy this new/odd approach. What about in a years time, when the hype and lustor have faded. There is no long term replay ability... Bar any DLC that is released in the future that directly approaches this problem. Which it is; a problem. When support for the game ceases you basically have a game. That if purchased new cost you $60. Has no option to play against bots or offline. No kinect/smartglass integration. Graphics stuck under 1080p. You can only play the training mission over and over again. 7/10 Buy this game now cause if you end up waiting. You might literally not even be able to play by yourself.

Must have game for XBOXONE
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Haven't played MP FPS games for more than 10 years and never played on console. Played beta, it was fun and it brought memories of playing quake2 with friends. Final version didn't disappoint. No single player games nor no offline plays. First day hiccups gave a lot of people without playing. But never had an issue since then. If you have an Xbox One, This is a must have game

A game worthy of the accolades
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Titanfall - XBOX ONE: This game is game of the year for me... Great game play, great graphics, 12 player co-op campaign and just all around greatness... My friend and I have been playing Titanfall for hours...This is something I have not done in years since HALO 2... I highly recommend Titanfall to anyone, as this game is ready out of the box for beginners and hardcore gamers.

Multiplayer At Its Best!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is barely short of a perfect game. It is fast paced, crazy fun, and hours of excitement. I played the beta and enjoyed it but it is even better with different styles of Titans to play with. I love multiplayer but I kind of wish they would've opted for a single player campaign even if it was short. Overall I'd buy this 10x before touching another Call of Duty game.
