Great start on breaking cable's hold.

Does not work without purchasing TiVo service

Just wanted to record TV shows we cannot watch live...as we used to do with old dvd recorder before we bought an HD TV. No one at Best Buy could tell me if I could do so without TiVo service and reading online did not state this. Purchased as a Christmas gift which is now a dud and will be returned unused.

Still not ready to cut the cable

We tried to watch shows via Hulu, but HATE that you have to pay, and then watch commercials. Plus, although you can get Amazon video, you can't get Amazon Prime on this box. Oh well!

Tivo failed due to Hard Drive failure

Truly free TV
