From the opening melodies to theast seconds fading out this album is one that will challenge your perception of the current state of music. If you don't 'get it' then try again.

Kendrick Lamar is a real lyricist. I bought this album on the day it was released and was pleased to find that the best buy sales associates had a stack of them right at the podium because they knew it would be a hot item that day.

This one is a great follow up to Kendrick's first classic album. It was well worth the wait!. Tracks 6, 9, and 14 are my favorites. Album touches on some controversial subjects but that's not a bad thing. Kendry does it again!

More of a conscious hip hop album. Different from his first solo album, but his agenda is clear. If you don't like unorthodox beats & thought out lyrics, this probably isn't the album for you. But it is well worth the purchase

Kendrick Lamar has put together an interesting and compelling piece of work here. It is not a traditional rap album. He takes risks musically and lyrically. May be off putting for some but give it time and you will love it.

For me its the best album year to date. Sold performance all around. I love the poem to Tupac and the way he works it into a couple songs. But after a few times it gets a little old and just want to hear the whole thing.

Hip-Hop seemed to be reaching a point of no return before this album. Rappers now a day have no content, just catchy hooks. With this album, Kendrick Lamar has set the bar for and challenged MCs to step up their game.

I am a big Kendrick Lamar fan and by far this is his best work to date. He has evolved his wordplay, storytelling, and critical lens of today's society through this masterful album. Listen and repeat several times.

Bought this along with Lupe Fiasco's Tetsuo and Youth. Didn't listen to anything else for 3 weeks. Amazing album. Well thought out, nice production. Written very well. I listen to this front to back, no skipping

Its is always hard to follow up on a smash debut album but Kendrick delivers. With a old Hip Hop feel and no over the top beats, he shows that he will continue to be one of the top artist.

Kendrick goes out of his way to highlight African American/African Pride and also talks about the stress of going through fame hood. It's dark, in your face, but worth every second to listen too.

Kendrick Lamar is a major hip hop talent. This release is light years ahead of Maad City. He is progressing at such a rate. With D'Angelo's release, one of two must-have releases in the last 6 months.

Kendrick does it again! This album is very unique. There are no pauses in the cd, every song leads into the next. The songs are inspiring with great beats. The interview with Pac is very cool!

As many may have felt, he was robbed from a grammy on his last album, but they got it right this turn around. If you are a fan of the "West Coast" vibe, this album will not disappoint.

This is a funk & jazz infused masterpiece. I just love it. It's different from his Good kid, Maad City album but it still feels 100% like Kendrick. I'd recommend it to any hip hop/ rap fan.
