It was OK
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game was alright. It wasn't until the NYC Expansion came out that the game really took off but by then it had fallen out of favor with me. Maybe I'll pick it up again and update this review but first one was better IMO.

Wait for a sale
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first game has issues and got better over time so I reluctantly bought this one to try it out. It is an overall huge improvement but it just doesn’t feel as vibrant and realistic as the first one or does it make you want to loot grind as much

Gold edition not worth the premium
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's difficult to gauge the value of the gold edition. Only recently have the season pass contents been revealed, and it looks substantially less than the division 1. Better to pick up the regular edition, and then grab the season pass later if it is worth it.

Puff up the reviews if you want but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's the same as the first game but without a plan or any intro to tell you even how to use your weapons...yeah, figure out how to throw a grenade after they flash it momentarily on your screen. This is the game I was afraid they were going to make instead of what most folks wanted to see. Feel free to waste your money. Me? I'm done with Ubisoft.

Great sequel
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After release weekend having played through quite a bit of the game I think the game has been great. The story line from this game has been better than the story line from the first game in my opinion. As always the details in this game is amazing. When you're walking around Washington DC and can see legit land marks it's a great immersion. Street names, store locations, etc all real! Add in the weapons! That's right, the weapons are real. You can find actual firearms in use around the world by military and law enforcement. Weapons react as you expect they would. Weapons and gear can be modded to give better tactical advantages as you progress. Release weekend there are still some bugs that were not detected during betas, or that just simply made it through. While annoying they're not entirely game breaking and the devs are already working on fixes. Cosmetics are where the real collector comes out in you. Everything from hats and sunglasses to little backpack ornaments. You can outfit your Agent in tons of different ways.

Now with 80% more crashes!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since the only review at the time of posting this was a preemptive post about being excited for something that couldn't actually be reviewed at the time and because the beta managed to not expose a lot of the issues, I figured it was only fair to write an honest review. I pre-ordered the gold edition and picked it up on the 13th, which allowed for the three days of early access. The exotic shotgun you get is only good for a few levels, so it's more or less just to make you feel strong for about 30 minutes. After that, it requires you get to level 30 before you can upgrade it. That is, if you even remember it when you reach that level. The game content is just as good, if not better than the first game. Unfortunately, you may find responding to calls for help a little tricky at first because you have to respond and then locate the person on the map to accept. This is not so bad, though. It allows you to meet a lot of new players. The biggest issue is that some of the skills do not function properly and the game has a lot of random critical errors. Critical errors are the ones where the game stops and a blue screen appears. On top of seeing them rather often on certain levels, they are also extremely slow to load. After you dismiss the error, you have to load the entire game in hopes that one person in your party did not crash and you can resume progress. You usually get lucky enough that one person in four survived, but not so lucky that it won't just crash again shortly after returning. As for the skills, you probably shouldn't waste your time on sharing the revive version of the hive. It will revive you and it has a 90% success rate to automatically drop when you would otherwise need to be revived and it is available. It will not work on other players, though, which happens to be the main functionality it advertises. Throwing it will leave them sitting in a large blue region as their revive time expires and they die. The beta made it appear fairly stable, so its hard to say if a developer decided to sabotage the game for release day or if they somehow introduced the issues last minute. Either way, they have had four days or constant patching and still no improvement.
