This game offers a great blend of 3rd person shooter and RPG elements inside an active online world. I really enjoyed the setting and the story line, and the fact that the multiplayer is a fun added bonus, but not mandatory. You basically have the option to complete the missions solo or use matchmaking to team up with friends or strangers. The game is more fun in a group depending on who your teammates are. This game is basically everything that Destiny should have been.

The ability to build your character, with the true aspect of pvp and coop makes the great already. The story, game play mechanics, and visual look makes it even better. I'm a huge ME fan, but I get the feeling this will be my number one game.

the gameplay is fun and theres a crazy amount of gear and weapons its like a mix of ghost recon,gears - the aliens and a couple of other games but it is its own game

Do yourself a favor and but this game. I've had a blast playing so far and I'm still waiting on my friends to pick it up so I can play with them.

I really like this game. The darknzone is a great place to loot items and pvp kill if you want.

This game has a lot going for it and a scope that really excites me for what is to come. It's a competent shooter and there are lots of MMORPG elements to the game. The enemies are bullet sponges though and the gap between story missions does seem steep. If you're a fan of Third Person Shooters and playing online with others, this is for you.

Awesome game play and online gaming is awesome. Only downfall is you have to be logged on to the internet to play.

In terms of shooters and RPGs, if you're into either but NOT the other, you might have a problem. But if you're like me and you don't mind the two having babies, then The Division plays like a dream. It also looks and sounds like one, too. I would normally not say something like this, but I caution you against lowball review scores. It took me well into the endgame to fully appreciate what this game does, and anything prior did not even give me the notion that the deeper RPG elements were a tactical necessity between team members. And that was all before I headed into the Dark Zone. So while the game might be plagued by a generic mission structure and some bad framerate dips when everything on screen is happening, this is one of the finest games to ever come from Ubisoft and one of the finest shooter RPGs money can buy.

Great game play, always something different in the missions to keep you interested. I really like the multiplayer and open world format too! Highly recommended!

This review is being written a few months after purchase/release of the game. I eventually sold this game due to no longer playing it. It became repetitive and just not fun. It had some great ideas but was NOTHING like Borderlands which it was compared to. It will certainly have it's crowd of supporters because it's not a horrible game and if changes to the darkzone and new content remains fresh - it will be great for some.

This game is absolutely fantastic! The graphics are stellar, gameplay is very addicting, and the customization is vast. Tom Clancy's new shooter is all around impressive. The firefights are fast paced and comfortably challenging, The customization between upgrading your character's gear, weapons, skills, perks, your base of operation's security, medical, and tech wings definitely keep you wanting to play more. I have played this game pretty hard for a week and I am extremely hooked, definitely recommend buying it!

Tom Clancy never lets me down. Great game, little lack of plot, however great graphics and action make up for that

Fun and interesting gameplay, a few bugs that hopefully get worked out soon but nothing major or game breaking.

This game is great. about time ubisoft got something right. open world. tactical, and fun to play with a team.

#1 - Been playing since Beta and Day One Launch... STILL PLAYING and LOVING EVERY MINUTE! Presently have completed 4 characters to Lvl 30 with max gear scores. This is a tactical cover shooter that makes no qualms about being such... Gears of War was probably the first such game I played years ago, but unfortunately it quickly tried to move into the full-on FPS mode with its online MP. I enjoy COD as much as the next guy, but again it gets boring and tedious in terms of 'character' advancement. The Division fundamental game content from Lvls 0 to Lvl 30 are extremely impressive and DEEP. One can readily put themselves into the role-playing aspects as an Agent struggling to restore NYC. This is wonderful PvE content, IMHO. If you want PvP FPS content then this is likely not your game to play. The endgame content (beyond Lvl 30) is still enjoyable but not well balanced. The Dark Zone region of the game is unfortunately completed blown up and literally UNNECESSARY for the rest of the game. Again my characters are all max geared out but none of them have played more than a few hours total in the DZ. The free add-on content is pretty good and I enjoy the initial DLC Underground content, but it's getting mixed reviews. Suggestion of course: Rent the game and seriously play for a weekend. Don't look for cheats or expect someone to carry you to max lvl... this doesn't give you the full experience of the game and it's story content. Once you're immersed, then you'll be able to decide for sure if you want to invest in the full game and maybe the DLC.

If you're planning on playing this game by yourself I wouldn't recommend it. I only say that because it can be quite boring if you play by yourself, but if you're playing with a squad of your friends then it can be really enjoyable. The reason why I give it a 4 is because for being such a hype game, you would at least expect it to be enjoyable by yourself.

The feeling of progression and exploring the world of The Division is great as you level up your character. Mini events and collectibles through out New York make exploration worthwhile. Multiplayer in the Dark Zone will vary depending on the zone, but usually well worth the trek, and even moreso when with a team.
