Tomb Raider is a fantastic action-adventure game on the PS4. I haven't really played the previous games in the franchise that much, so this felt like a beginning for me. The story is engaging, all of the characters are well developed (for a video game), the action is exciting, and the collectibles are not only fun to find, but they add real weight to the story. I would recommend taking the time to find them all, particularly the documents. On top of all that, the environment itself is lush and the graphics power of the PS4 makes it all so gorgeous. This was a pleasure to play. I cannot speak to the multiplayer experience, but the single player is awesome and I suggest all action-adventure lovers to play it.

After having played the Tomb Raider games of old, it was exciting to see them create a much newer more interesting version of the tale. Updated and remastered, the game looks incredible and plays great!

Rented this game last year on the PS3 and absolutely love it and said then if they ever ported this game for the next gen consoles I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. Personally it's in my top 5 games of the year for fun and brilliant engaging story telling. Just a blast to play and I hope this is a sign of great future for the Tomb Raider series again.

This game looks really nice and the story is great. I really enjoyed this game.

I was never a fan a of the older tomb raider games but this is turning into one of my favorite PS4 games. The graphics are crisp and clean. The gameplay is great. You can either take out enemies stealthily or go guns blazing. The game gives you a lot of freedom. Their are extra tombs to find and explore, trinkets to find and analyse which gives you experience points that allow you upgrade 3 different skill trees of your choice depending on your play style. Their are even hidden weapon upgrades to find that allow you to further enhance your arsenal of weapons. The story is engaging and keeps you playing. A great game that is worth a play through. Their is also competitive multiplayer but I haven't played it yet so your millage may vary.

I purchased this after having purchased and played the PS3 version when it was first released. Tomb Raider is one of my favorite games, and i'm drawn by its open-world features, setting, and survival system. The reboot also calls for much more combat, which is fine by me. Being able to explore many parts of a lost island gives you much freedom that you would never find in previous Tomb Raider titles. Many western games now are compelled to have some form of open world, which is why it's happening now rather than before, but it's also because of the kind of game Tomb Raider is--hunting and exploring lost treasures. By no means is the survival system robust, and you don't rely on it in order to actually survive and progress, but it adds a great touch to the game. The only qualm I have with Tomb Raider is that the tomb puzzle areas feel like modules and aren't naturally integrated. In no way does this put a damper on the rest of the game despite this. I'd recommend getting this if you enjoy previous Tomb Raider titles or playing the Uncharted series.

I was a huge fan of the original Tomb Raider games on the PC and I played this new Tomb Raider game on the PS3 as well. This is a great adventure game and while it is slightly different than the original games, it is still very entertaining and fun. So, what do we get with this new PS4 version? -The same trophies all over again with a few new ones. If you earned all the trophies on the PS3 version, you'll need to earn them again on the PS4 version. -Improved game resolution, 1080p. Also improved hair-dirt-skin-water effects. Over-all I didn't notice a huge difference as the original PS3 game looked amazing. -It is the same game, nothing new, nothing missing in relation to the PS3 version. The DLC from the PS3 version is automatically included in this PS4 version, so you get to switch outfits throughout the game and so on. Nothing special. -This PS4 version utilizes the PS4 controller. The touch pad is used as an additional button and some close notices in the game will now also come from the controller speaker. The light bar changes colors depending on what you are doing. Holding a torch it will blink red and yellow as well as other neat little touches throughout the game, however I see the light as a distraction and the speaker on the controller with this game doesn't always 100% match up with the audio coming from the speakers, resulting in me turning the controller speaker off from the game menu. Over-all a wonderful game and I had no issues double dipping at the release date cost of 60US. I played through it a few times on the PS3 to get most of the trophies, and I intend to do the same on the PS4. Hopefully Tomb Raider will start a chain of PS3 games to be released on the PS4. I would love to have the Dead Space Trilogy again. Highly Recommended, even if you have played it on the PS3. If you kept your PS3 and still own that version, keep it and skip the upgrade. But for me, as I sold the game and my PS3, this was a no-brainer. Please contact me with any additional questions.

I have loved the Tomb Raider line since the PS One. I haven't played all of them, but I own a majority. This game is a little different. It's not just finding the treasure and defeating the big bad. It is a survival game. Lara isn't just seeking the lost artifact; she is fighting for her life the entire time. All of the familar "historical" finds and puzzles are there, too. But there is a lot more aderenaline and urgency in this game. There are a variety of stunning backgrounds for the action. All in all a beautiful game.

Great reboot of Tomb Raider. They took a lot from Uncharted with big, epic set pieces and added some customization which is nice. The story is pretty good as well. It was a lot of fun to play from start to finish.

This installment of Tomb Raider brings the game series back to being something special. I found the environments and adventures to be fully engaging. The gameplay was fun and this new remodel of the character as a gritty reboot worked out quite well. A great game at a good price, might as well have the definitive edition.

I am a huge Uncharted fan. That being said, I never played Tomb Raider on the PS3. After becoming an early-adopter of a PS4, I wanted something that could give me the same kind of experience as Uncharted. Tomb Raider definitely delivered. I loved the ability to progress Lara's skill set and weapons. The game was also more open-world in many areas than Uncharted. This game has tons of treasures and collectibles to find. The sense of exploration is incredible. Some of the trophies were a pain (20 kills with the turret took me forever, as did reaching level 60 in multiplayer). The single player campaign is where this game shines . The multiplayer is good and can be quite fun. I HIGHLY recommend this game to all PS4 owners!

When I played The Last of Us, I knew it would be hard for any game to top that, but this game did it for me! The graphics are good, the gameplay is good, storyline is good. I played for a while and I was thinking that it may have been too easy but it got harder towards the middle of the game. I didn't want to trade it in after I beat it but I can't afford to keep buying games at $60 a pop n then let them collect dust.

I haven't even beat the game but I'm loving it. I've played some Lara Croft games and this is different. Good story and explosions. Great graphics on the PS4! I haven't had too much trouble with it. I know this game was previously on the PS3, but I'm glad they made a PS4 version and once I do beat it I'll be waiting for a sequel.

If you liked uncharted but want a bit more freedom, gun customization, and focus on puzzles, this is the game for you.

I really enjoyed playing this. It's the "definitive edition", so all the dlc is unlocked already from the start. I liked having the option to change her outfit when I wanted to (makes you feel special doing certain sections looking a particular way). This game is great for fans of Lara Croft, and for newbies to the world of Tomb Raider. I can't wait for another (mad that stupid Xbox One is getting a timed exclusive for the next game of the series)

I could not stop playing this game. It was suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

If you are new to the series or an old schooler, this game should leave you feeling satisfied. Easy, intuitive controls, skill progression and weapon upgrades, fun story line with a lot of mystique and tension. Laura has never been so kick *ss and nasty. Good luck folks.

Graphically, this game is a sight to behold. Great story, game play, graphics, everything is excellent. Some people didn't like the multiplayer components but I didn't buy it for the multiplayer so that did not bother me. It's a great Tomb Raider game, what more do you need to know? Buy it!!!
