Like I said if u are a tomb raider fan than u will like this game, just check it out. I just bought this game without checking it out, I think it's worth every penny.

An "origin story" for Laura Croft. It looks good, but the game itself is not quite as good as I hoped. Definitely worth the $10 I paid.

The game seems good until I realized that you don't have the freedom to explore or choose where to go. Each level forces you in one direction and down one path. You are mainly watching not playing this one. Whenever there is a battle, the game tells you which button to push and when. There is little left of the thought provoking puzzles of the past Tomb Raiders. There is some story-line but nothing you read or hear is helpful during game-play. It's just story info with nothing to figure out.

When the reboot was initially announced I was worried for this series. As it grew and developed I became increasingly anxious to see just how they were going to accomplish this relaunch without destroying a beloved icon. I picked the game up the day it was released, after watching many a trailer and game clip teaser many times. Could the game live up to its predecessors? In short, yes. Is it perfect? Depends on who you ask, I think. Do I think it's perfect? No. I am a long time Lara Croft fan. And it looks like I will continue to be for quite some time, yet. Thank you, game developer gods, for doing this series some justice. The story was intriguing, the graphics were phenomenal, and the music was spot on. Replay value is totally there, and I can't wait to dive back in (I beat this game after about a week). My primary complaint: I clocked 15 hours and beat the game. Wait, what? That's it?! Need more. Although replay value may be there, that doesn't mean I'm happy with a 10 - 15 hour game. As a casual RPG gamer, I'm used to games taking me at least 30 hours to complete. Somehow, I feel more fulfilled that way (or maybe that's just my wallet speaking?). Second, those tomb puzzles felt cheap and lazy. Sort of like an after thought thrown in for the old fan base. I guess they hope that you're so caught up in the action, action, ACTION, that you won't notice...Third, obviously TR is being taken down a different path. I'm not sure I prefer games that are all action, all the time, with little story and deep thinking. I feel like this game sort of pushed that boundary a little, being a bit *too* focused on the violence and action at times. I get it's a survival game, but I'm not playing it just to kill things. I missed the adventurous ambiance the old TR offered. Still, the story was able to keep me grounded and interested in playing through to the end. Multiplayer, meh. I haven't given it a shot and I don't know that I will. I just don't see TR as a multiplayer game, so I prefer to leave it that way. However, I've heard mixed reviews about it. Mostly good, it just isn't something I'm interested in. Basically, buy this game. If you're a TR fan, you'll likely enjoy it regardless. There is some fun to be had rock climbing, fighting off wolves, and navigating the tombs. I hope the next installment focuses more on the adventure and less on the action.
