Astounding picture with Fire TV installed . The TV seems to be the facility thru which one could cut the cord. If you choose not to the device detects the cable HDMI connection and defers to it . The speakers while demonstratively better than what was on its predecessor could be better but are certainly passable. Its is vague priced to begin with but bought on promotion under 400
