Works fine, didn't fit Toshiba Satellite NB15t
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace a dead 500 GB HDD in our Toshiba Satellite NB15t. Drive was recognized by bios and I was able to reinstall Window 8 on it, but it was actually slightly thicker than the original MQ01ABF050 drive the computer came with, so the back cover bulges out a little. The package didn't show the model number, which turned out to be MQ01ABD050, being 9.5mm thick instead of the original's 7mm. I'll have to make another purchase of the original MQ01ABF050 now :-(.

Does What it Needs to!

As someone who just learned to build my own desktop PC this year, it was very easy to install and I haven't had any problems since installation.

DEAD after only 30 days!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this hard drive to replace one that had failed in my Macbook Pro. Easy installation - worked well at first. Over time my computer got slower - froze up a few times until it died after about 30 days in use. I'm really shocked! Didn't expect it to die after only 1 month. Currently looking into the included 3 year warranty - went to file a claim. My only option is a "coupon" for the Toshiba website. Unfortunately, the replacement hard drives don't ship until March! On top of the fact that you have to ship them your old drive and wait for them to get it before you get your coupon. I can't afford to wait well over a month to get my computer fixed. I'm not sure if I want another Toshiba hard drive either. What am I going to do?
