The Toshiba 55" tv replaced a five year old Samsung 50" in our bedroom. This Toshiba tv comes with many extra, and is easily connected to the internet.
The remote has the basic functions, but after you go through set-up the remote is voice activated / controlled.
It is a 4k tv, however it has the minimal motion engine at 60 - so when it comes to football and fast moving live action -the detail will not keep up - but does for the most part.
The sound is good if you don't have a soundbar - we have a surround system - but don't always put it on. The sound is better than the Samsung.
Further I would suggest you do a web search of calibrations for the tv - others have spent lots of time dialing in their picture.
Beyond HDMI, the tv does have an RCA style input.
And you can play the sound on your Bluetooth headphones (will only allow on headset though).
Some cons for this loaded $330 tv,
.... if you have a plug-in style headphones (we have a wireless Sony unit)... all the sound goes out - so either it's the plug-in or nothing...
The picture is very nice straight on - however, as you angle to the left or the right the picture quality falls off quickly (more so than our other tvs).
When you turn on your tv it doesn't default to the last connection / HDMI connection. If find this a pain. It instead defaults to the Home Screen, which is the screen shot shown in the BB picture above... and you have to manually change the input each time the tv comes on (or talk into the remote). To me, this is a wasted step. If I want the home screen, well, I would go there on my own. I'd rather pick up the last DirecTV channel I was watching.

This is just what we were looking for, a 55" smart TV and 4K without spending a fortune. I saw this online, researched it around the web and then pulled the trigger. The only option was curbside pick-up and that was fine. We received a text that it was ready to pick-up within an hour. When we arrived two friendly associates loaded it up and we were off. Unpacking and set up was quick and easy; we were watching it in half an hour. It has a great picture and is quick when switching from app to app.

easy to set up, didnt take a long. quality of the images / 4k is great. the remote is pretty straight forward. scanning channels doesnt take long. adding apps to the tv for streaming is easy too. we have ps4 & blu ray 4k hooked which look amazing. even regular dvds still look good. we also have an original super nintendo plugged in, and the graphics still look great, doesnt look old at all. i havent had any connection issues, doesnt turn off on its own nor is it loud.

Bought this TV to replace my old Samsung DLP. I just love the picture compared to my old DLP. And, the price was great especially getting another Amazon Echo for free. Also, being a Smart TV I connected to all our internet-based service such as Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney. Now, I am thinking about getting rid of ATT Uverse to Youtube or Sling to get the local and network channels.

What more can I say...the quality of the picture is amazing. From watching movies to TV shows it is a new experience. It takes my gaming to the next level am transported in the game. Sound works great. I wish the TV came with two remotes. My toddler lost ours and we haven't seen it since. And the TV only has a power button and you can't change or do anything with it. So we can't watch TV or even play games. Now it is just collecting dust. Can't find a OE remote anywhere. :(

So happy to have this TV as still not ready to believe as got so many features at so reasonable price. It's a steal. So happy with quality of picture and sound. So easy to install and ready to enjoy within short time. Fire TV is also great as supported by Amazon and top of all the great customer service by Best Buy which they are famous for. Curb side pick up work so well and fast during this troubles time. Thank you Best Buy and God Bless us all.

I have to say that I was somewhat hesitant to purchase this TV. I thought it was just one of the "last years models" that was being sold as a Black Friday special. Maybe it was, but I have to say that I am VERY happy with my purchase!
This is a GREAT TV! The 4K picture is very detailed, even with TV programs that were originally aired back in the 1970's!
It took a little while for me to get the picture and sound "adjusted", but the results were worth the effort.
Our first "Large Screen" TV was a 50" Panasonic Plasma. Yeah, it's a 15 year old 720 resolution TV. It served us well and it still works great. Not that the Panasonic had a "bad" picture, but this Toshiba TV blows the Panasonic away!
I have yet to take advantage of the "Smart TV" features. In time, I am sure that these features will also impress me.
I have to say that it is well worth the $300 we spent to buy it! And, the added bonus Google Home Mini made this purchase even better!
This is a GREAT TV!

Finally decided to put a TV in our bedroom, and I went with this one because the size and price was right. I expected to have to pair this with an Apple TV and possibly a sound bar because I hate the muddy sound that typically comes from flat screen TV speakers.
I was plesantly surprised to find that both of my expectations were wrong.
The built-in apps for the TV are perfectly fine and even included the "new" Disney Plus service, so no need for an Apple TV. The only thing I am missing is Apple TV Plus, but right now I'm not actually watching anything from that service, so it doesn't bother me. The main stuff I watch is all there: Netflix, Disney Plus, and Amazon Prime.
And the built-in speakers are actually very good! This was the biggest surprise to me. I guess TV makers have gotten better about this since the last time I bought a TV. The sound is nice and clear... perfect for the bedroom. Nothing sounds muffled like from my older TVs' built-in speakers.
Very happy with this purchase. It has a beautiful 4K HDR picture, good sound from the built-in speakers, and almost all of the streaming apps I use (in a decent, responsive interface). This gets five stars from me.

I like the TV. Picture quality is great and Fire TV set up is easy. But assembly instructions are terrible! They tell you to lay the TV flat to attach the feet and no where does it say that the feet are inserted into the base. You can't lay the TV flat to attach the feet and the pictures provided with the instructions are too small to make out details. We figured it out of course but the instructions are useless.

Amazing TV for the price. We picked this one out in store after comparing picture qualities, and we thought it had better picture than many of the TV's more than twice it's price. Yeah it's not as nice as the 1000k plus TV's, but it dominates all the other TV's in the price range that we spent (paid $300 on black friday). Also the smart TV part works great, and you don't need to use Alexa if you don't want to.

Good basic tv. The picture of the TV on Best Buy site showed different stand than actual twin leg stand which was a prime reason for selecting the model. Luckily the TV barely fit on owner tv stand. The TV defaults to wireless provider list vice cable input so owner must manually switch to cable input every time tv is turned on using a different dedicated wireless remote. Good picture and very good price.

Great tv, quality is high, nice picture. Easy to use. The only complaint and I wish I would have known this before I bought is that the space is super limited. If you have too many apps (which is how you have to watch anything on this tv) then it will make you delete apps(channels) to make room. If you do not then it will interrupt to let you know storage is low.

If you're looking a basic, entry level (U)HD TV that won't break the bank, than this one is for you.
Pros:
- Affordable for a TV this size
- Trusty-worthy brand
- Integrated Fire TV app
- One controller to rule them all. On a serious note, there is only one controller to control all the function for streaming and the TV itself
Cons:
- Have yet to be determined *Shrug*
