Excellent picture but the remote is a problem
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality is excellent. However the voice-activated remote is, as, in my opinion, as all voice activated remotes are, a disaster. Where I live there are, for example, two different channels whose channel number is 20.3. One is excellent; the other is a ghost. I want a remote with buttons that I can push to make channels (and volume go up and down. Does such a remote currently exist or is it in the planning stages?

Love Toshiba products!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this TV! This was my first experience with a smart tv with high speed internet (a major drawback to rural life is poor quality internet.) The graphic are gorgeous! The sound is great. It is SO easy to use. I will fight my family over my tv. The tv is light weight and easy to move. I do plan to purchase Toshiba for all future tv purchases. They last forever. I had a big screen tv with the speakers in the bottom; you could roll it. I purchased that in 2005 and it was still working well in 2021.

Can't go wrong with a Toshiba
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an amazing television. My last 2 televisions over the last 20 years from college has been a Toshiba so when I was looking for a new television I didn't have to think twice. I bought it during black Friday 2018 (still the same price $329) but didn't open or use until 2019 Summer as my old television was serving it's purpose and I wasn't sure if I was going to put in the bedroom or common area. The quality is amazing, picture, sound and easy to set up. I recommend the full motion Rocketfish mount if you plan on hanging it on the wall. My television sits near the corner of the room so I can pull out at an angle or lay flat against

Outstanding and this from a Roku fanboy! Buy it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK, the main reason I purchased this was the small footprint of the stand (I kid you not). And I wanted something that would work with my Amazon Echos. But the TV and user inter-phase are superb. I'm shocked by how good it is. I love the way it gives you one small remote for everything, Alexa voice control (which displays on the TV screen), easy control of your over the air channels with channel guide integrated into user inter-phase with out having to go outside the normal display and then back again . This is a true cut the cord TV which is what I have been looking for. I have been using Roku for a few years now and thought it was a good system, but this is actually much better. It's a step above in ease of use, versatility of programs, customization, and connect-ability. And I'm more then happy with the picture quality and sound quality of the Toshiba system and Multi connections for add on's , The one downside. I can only find it in sizes up to 55 inches. I would buy this in 75 inch in a flash. Look at the star ratings. It's not top rated for nothing. If your thinking about getting a 55 inch TV don't hesitate, you have no downside here. Most times I buy LG, Samsung or Insignia. But this TV had the small foot print I needed for my bedroom bureau. Turns out I nailed it. Go figure.

Started off with a glitch, but I was able to adapt
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice picture and the smart feathers found the internet during the set up process and updated the software. However, there was a small issue: shipped 6M bolts and should have sent 5M bolts, that's why I gave the TV 4 stars. At first I was thinking, didn't tap the brackets when they built the TV. Then looking at the set up guild, they were supposed to send a smaller size 5M bolt. Luckily, since I work on my RAV, I had 35mm 5M's in the garage, with a 8mm hex head. Socket had plenty of clearance to tighten down the nuts. Setup, sort of stank, it was 5 minutes of commercials that I could not FF and end early. Hoping I would set up an Amazon account so I could conveniently shop on-line through the TV. I went with basic options on the apps. I am building a nice platform that I can rotate out of birth. Specs on the feet if you are thinking of doing this: the widest part of the feet is 28 1/2 inches, the feet in front & back stick out 4 1/2 inches. The total length of the feet are 14".

Amazing!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great TV for the price! Smart TV's are the way to go instead of cable. Very easy set-up and keeps you logged into all of your apps. Super clear, clean and crisp picture. Sound was amazing as well! Definitely a must buy!

Worst tech purchase I have ever made
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Background Purchased two of these back in early April so my kids could either watch different things or play multiplayer games together. Figured with all this pandemic going on it would keep them from arguing. Pros: - Sturdy - Inexpensive - Good picture Cons: - Does not work if it cannot detect the remote. Throws up a error/complaint on the screen and takes you away from whatever you were previously doing. Middle of a game or movie? Too bad deal with it. - Has a single button like a Samsung, but unlike a Samsung's button is completely worthless. It is the simple on/off style where to change anything you have to click to bring up menu, click to move it one space down on the list, and then wait for it to select whatever you are hovering over. Good luck changing the volume without the remote, because it wont. - Even when set up to automatically connect to an hdmi input, it will decide to stop doing this after a few days so you have to redo the process to set this up. Absolute pain. Always defaults to the screen wanting your wifi information and when you set it otherwise eventually reverts. - One of the remotes controls both TVs (sound level, on/off, etc) but the other remote only controls one of the TVs. The reverting selection on hdmi input was just an annoyance, then my kid lost the remote for the first time and we had to find it in order to use the TV. This will be the last Toshiba product I ever purchase, and I'm somebody who has owned a lot of Toshiba products over the years. I really don't understand how Toshiba, what I knew to formerly have great products, even allowed this product to happen. I was planning on buying two much more expensive Samsung TVs instead but they were out of stock. And I learned how useless these were far after it was too late to return them and buy something else. This isn't supposed to be seen as a promotion of Samsung either just an easy comparison, of the many brands I have owned (Samsung, Panasonic, Insigna, TCL, LG) none of them have been this bad. Either buy a different brand or throw your money in the toilet, its going to be the same result but throwing your money away will be less frustration. When submitting a review it asks if you would recommend this TV to a friend, I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy. I have never before in my life written a review anywhere, this TV is so aggravating that I had no choice but to do so. Seriously, buy anything, ANYTHING else
