I wonder if you called Toshiba's support line for Canvio products or if you may have accidentally called the line for Toshiba computers. The support agents at (888) 592-0944 should be able to help you with any issues you have using your Canvio Connect drive with either a Mac or Windows PC.
You don't mention what type of problem you're having but please note that the drive comes preformatted to the NTFS format, which is the most popular format used in drives of this capacity. Mac OS can natively read but not write to drives of this format, so Toshiba provides with this drive a NTFS driver for Mac OS, allowing you to store and access files from both Windows and Mac OS PCs without the need to reformat the drive. However, if you'll only be using the drive with Mac OS then you may prefer to reformat it to a Mac OS native format using your Mac's 'DIsk Utility' app.
Thanks again for the feedback and sorry for the difficulty.
