Really a great little hard drive. Easy to install and understand how it works. It comes with some extra files and stuff that I don't know how to use or what they're for but it doesn't seem to be a problem overall. Small enough to carry anywhere!

I bought thus during a sale at an excellent price for 1TB of USB 3.0 storage in a slim form factor. The device performs well despite negative reviews found on Amazon and Toshiba's website. I've had it for about 1 month and it hasn't died. It stays plugged in to my desktop and always powers on and shows up in my drive list in the file explorer. Transfer speeds were more than adequate with the included USB 3.0 cable. It draws power from the cable which is a huge plus. My much larger 2TB backup drive needed a bulky AC adapter. So long power cable hassle! Can I vouch for long-term? No. But it appears to be solid. Drive does include 143MB of pre-installed software, driver files, and PDF manuals. Total available space shows as 931GB. Long story short, 4 stars for the past incident-free 4 weeks of ownership.

I have purchased many of these USB Portable Hard Drives. They're great when you need to store and mail large files or to use as backups for your personal information.

Great hard drive, but the back-up software included with it is poor. I backed up my computer when i got this and 4 weeks later my computer crashed causing me to eventually have to re-install the operating system. Sadly i lost almost half of it when i tried to re-install it. I have since gotten better software and i use this hard-drive for backing up my TV. It's quiet and fast thru the usb 3 connection. I'd probably buy it again but ONLY for a storage use. At 49 bucks it was a good deal. Easy setup up and running in less than 3 mnutes

Never owned a portable hard drive before & I would definitely recommend this one! Portable, small, affordable, and easy to use. Perfect to store music, pictures, and important documents on.

The 1 Tb external hard drive was on sale for a great price, in my opinion, for $49 . I needed to backup over a thousand photos on two computers and a lot of other documentation. The download went without a problem. I had the option of installing their software from their website to or directly do it like a regular storage device. I chose the latter since it gave me control on what I needed stored. It came with a usb 3 cable. I transferred these pictures to my new custom pc without a hitch. I already own a 500GB WD External HD and use that to regularly backup by documents and keep the Toshiba as backup. Overall I am happy with thr drive.

Easy to use and set-up, great storage, sleek look! It really is plug and play. It holds all of my stuff, and I still have a ton of storage left. It looks great, and is small enough to carry in my bag. Would definitely recommend you check this out!
