BIGGEST PROBLEM IS WITH TIME-WARNER WHICH WAS NOT USER FRIENDLY WITH SETUP PROCESS.

The unit is easy to use; for my needs it's just great.

For a machine soon to be superannuated, playing formats almost obsolete, it's great to have. In two years it will be irreplaceable, so I'm glad to have it, new and in faultless condition!! What else can I say?

This was easy to hook up to my tv and cable box. Set up was easy and quick to follow.

While it does function, there are two little downsides here that are deal breakers - It has no S-VHS output, and It has no sense of how much tape is left as you rewind and does not slow down as the end comes near. Why is that a big deal, you ask? How many of us have new, pristine just-made-yesterday VHS tapes? Me either. I bought this to take my tapes, which are anywhere from 15 to 36 years old, and capture them into my PC. What happens when you put a priceless 30 year old Polaroid VHS tape into a VCR and rewind speed? Well, you know the beginning of the tape has been reached when you hear a loud SNAP as the tape pulls off the core and winds itself into the cassette. VHS tapes need a lot of pampering until you finally get that digital copy. This machine kills that copy JUST before you're about to hit capture. I know time flies, but it should never wrap around itself and start flapping around in the VCR while you wring your hands in anticipation of what treasured memory you are about to... opps! ... were... about to see. <sigh>

Works well, used to watch old movies that aren't out on dvd.

It's a really nice VHS/DVD combo. Works splendidly.

So far it has worked great. Easy to install. Wish it had cable tv functions, but for the price, it satisfies my needs

since it seems this was the only player that would allow to watch VHS had no choice but it works for what its intended for

VERY GOOD FOR THE PRICE. ALL I NEEDED WAS THE VCR PLAYER AS I ALREADY HAD A DVD PLAYER. IT IS GETTING HARD TO FIND VCR PLAYERS.

This device easily plays DVDs as well as recording and playing VHS tapes. It's easy to use and does what we expected it to do.
