    Very nice product. I worked in Japan for a year and found that Toshiba products are very well thought of by the folks there in Japan. They work well here too. .

    I bought this product on 10/2/2014 and it died on me 6/13/2015. It won't power up anymore

      Thank you for the review, leachman1969, and sorry to hear that you are having trouble getting your unit to properly start up.

      I recommend leaving the unit unplugged for a couple of minutes, then connecting it to a different, known good power outlet. If that doesn't resolve the issue, it seems that it will need to be repaired.

    Still enjoy watching VCR and DVDs. Have lots of old stuff and enjoy it all. We watch them when the TV stuff is not to our liking. Easy to use.

    I bought this for a vacation home as I have many older VHS tapes. I didn't have space for two devises so this one with its dual use is perfect.

    Average VCR player/recorder (which is the main reason I bought it), but the DVD player is very poor. DVD's "skip" when played, and in many cases can't be played at all due to the poor quality of the DVD player. If you're looking for a quality DVD player, take my advice and buy a good Blue Ray player--not this.
