    It takes up less space than seperate tape and DVD players. You can record a DVD onto a cassette

    Very, very disappointed with Toshiba for even offering a product this bad. There may have been some techno nerdy way to get the thing to work but I could not figure it out. No support from the Toshiba 800 number, the 24/7 Geek Squad protection 800 number, or Comcast tech assistance. The only picture I could get was grainy in black and white for both DVD and VCR. The only positive was when I took it back to Best Buy, the refund went smoothly.

    This device works OK. Video tapes stick a bit when ejecting. Be prepared to extract them as the door prevents them from exiting freely.

    This unit does not have cable input and output connectors. For this reason cannot record tv programs to vcr from my tv cable box.

    A decent player for folks that have a lot of VCR tapes transitioning to DVD viewing. Player lacks HDMI cable capability but does well enough via component cable set.
