Easy to use, after I figured out the tracking. Manual is a little technical.

This is a quality unit for those consumers who have a VHS library to extensive to just replace eveything with DVD or Blueray. It can copy some of your VHS and make them into credible DVD's so you don't have to invest in replacements of your favorite old films. It still won't let you make copies of VHS you've righteously paid for and unfortunately it'll stop you from recording off the cable or satellite sometimes, even the the government says you have a right to do that. As a teacher who has even more legal latittude to do this for educational video use in the classroom per FCC ruling, I was disappointed by that. But all in all it's a great piece of electronics and provides good picture and sound quality.

After connecting my unit I have been able to make some very good recordings compatible to my hd tv. I have found nothing about the unit to be unhappy about.

Still watching VHS and DVD tapes so needed a machine to accommodate both and also to record. This recorder does all.

An excellent product for recording and archiving video. You can dub directly from VHS or download from you DVR. My primary use is to archive boxing matches that I record from my DVR. This does the trick, but is a bit trickier than my other unit (Sony). Still a good device at a great price.

Pretty simple to use. Also has an HDMI connector to hook up to newer TV's.

Haven't tried it as a transfer device yet, but great VCR and DVD player!

Toshiba does it again with this really terrific DVD/VHS Combo, very satisfied with the Form and Function, easy set up too. I still have lots of tapes and can continue using them. I couldn't be happier.

It's really hard to find a VCR-DVD player/recorder but I found a great one at Best Buy! I can transfer my VHS tapes to a DVD disc and I can't wait.

We still have a lot of dvd movies so when our last machine broke this one replaced it. We have always found Toshiba to be a reliable brand and this has not let us down. Easy set up and easy to use.

got this for my husband for christmas...much much better than his old one that has finally died. glad you had one in stock as they are hard to find

The Toshiba Multiformat DVD-R/RW/+R/+RW Recorder/VCR Combo with HD Upconversion is great for transferring older vhs and video camera tapes to dvd.

Works fine with no problems. Runs smoothly. Like its small size.

I like this Toshiba because if renders quality DVD playback and the ability to record my old VHS tapes onto CDs without taking up a lot of space.

Like the easy way to install and use. Have others in house and this one is easier to use.

This unit is very easy to use. My daughter still has VHS tapes, and this unit is a Godsend! Works beautifully! I'm thinking of getting a second one for another room! I love this unit!

I had a professional company transfer by VHS taps to DVD. I decided to do it myself since I had several more tapes to do.This product was perfect for that. I put my VHS tapes in the unit and a blank DVD in the other side, followed the instructions and was transferring my VHS tapes to DVD in minutes. I had read other reviews about this product not stopping and breaking the tape when doing a high speed rewind and they are right about that, so I just kept stopping it when I thought it was close to the end. I am happy with the quality of the DVD it made from my VHS tapes. So far it was well worth the price.
