This is a good product for viewing or copying your product. It is 1080 pixels and has excellent quality for blue rays too. I am very pleased with this product.

I scored points with this purchase... Grandkids can now watch all their old WHS tapes while daughter in law can dub them all over to DVD format for future enjoyment of the family video collection.

Great product for the price. The instructions for conversion are not very clear. I found proper instruction on you tube.

I bought this recorder to replace a Samsung recorder I had that died after 10 years of service. I have no complaints about the playback quality of either VHS tapes or DVDs on the Toshiba recorder, although I have yet to record anything on it.

The instruction manual for this VHS converter to DVD has serious flaws in it. I suspect that the manual was for an older version and was not updated when this model was produced. If you follow directions for dubbing from VHS to DVD directly it will record a blank screen. So for those buying this product. You need to hit dubbing while in VHS mode and it will then record to DVD fine. Also noted that it formats automatically and not like the manual indicates. Otherwise once you get this figured out it works well and have been able to use it to convert 20 year old VHS tape to DVD and then get it to the web for internet applications such as facebook, etc.

I purchased this so my kids could watch old VHS Disney movies. It works great. It was easier to buy this instead of replacing all of our old movies.

Purchased to replace broken vcr dvd player. Love that it can also record although we have not used that feature yet.

It is really a great product. Very practical to convert my VHL collection to DVD.

My parents still use their vhs tapes so this was nice in that it had both vhs and dvd capability. I just wish you sold blank vhs tapes.

Allows me to permanently save my VHS recordings to DVD. The VHS tapes are not a permanent format to keep indefinitely.

Very pleased with the Tobisha Multiformat DVD-R/RW/+R/+RW Recorder/VCR Combo with HD Upconversion. Timer recording is extremely easy to set up, disk editing is simple and straight forward, Have not yet used the dubbing feature to convert VCR tapes but plan to in the future.

I copied about 100 VHS movies to DVD on this and they were all perfect.

I use this for dubbing my camcorder recording into DVDs. I had a Panasonic that I LOVED but it died...and they don't make them any longer...so I got this. Lots of great features...but naming the DVD's is a real chore on this machine...they could make this easier to do. Overall I would recommend it

Enjoyed the set up and learning how to actually use the player and recorder! Still in the learning phase. It has been a long time since I have used a VHS!

As stated, adequate unit -- not much choice out there unless one spends big money for a pro dvd recorder. Operations not all that user friendly. directions confusomg -- apparently written by some with English as a second language. Unit appears to be much more cheaply made the the Panasonic one it's replaced!

It is a traditional VHS/DVD recorder that works well and is simple to operate.
