We've used this recorder to transfer at least 80 hours from VHS to SVD. Works great so far.

Christmas gift for my in-laws to convert VHS family movies to DVD. Works well, easy to use.

So far the unit is providing exactly what I needed. I am using the device to record programs from my DVR to clear up recording space. The only problem has been with indications of either bad DVDs or possible problems with the unit. For 3 new DVDs, I received a recording error but only after recording for 2 hours. The message did not appear until playback. Wasted lots of time.

I needed to convert some vhs tapes to dvds and this does it great!

An average DVD player, and an average VHS player though these are getting hard to find. I bought it to trascribe VHS tapes to DVD, and for that it works very well.

Does what is supposed to; vhs to dvd, dvd to vhs, timed recording on dvd or vhs. There is a pretty steep learning curve, manual is 109 pages. Pretty flexible in setting up dvd menus, separating and combining titles and chapters. I have not learned everything yet. Five different dvd recording speeds. No tuner but not a big deal.

The main reason I purchased this unit was to take my old VHS tapes of camera work and make them into DVDs in case the kids want to see how things use to be. I didn't want to get a computer thing that comes with software and spend hours transferring over my VHS tapes to the computer and than choose a format file and then burn a DVD on the computer drive etc.etc etc Way to time consuming and it ties up my computer. This unit is the answer and works great in making a DVD.

I have a bunch of VCR tapes I wanted to transfer to DVD. The dubbing feature on this unit is very easy to use. I also use it to transfer items of my DVR to DVD. Very easy to use.

this product serves the purpose I bought it for. I need to enter at least 50 characters so Her I am typing to make the required amount of characters I hope this enough

This is a great deal. Easy set up, easy controls. Great buy!

VHS to DVD works very well. Takes my old tapes and converts them to DVD. I can watch them on tv as it transfers and I can edit as well.

It'It's getting harder to find a combo player/recorder. I wish it had a digital tuner but it works well doing what it does do.

This DVD Recorder is easy to both set up and use. I wish It was more readily available.

I am enjoying my old family movies and recording them on dvd to send to family members. I am so glad I purchased this item.

I enjoy shopping at Best Buy because they take the time to listen to what the customer wants as opposed to what they want you to buy. I wanted a VHS and DVD player that was easy to use with good quality for a good price and they helped get me just that !

This unit worked great. vcr works good as well as dvd

I get almost everything from Best Buy, because I love the service you get when you have a problem. They carry good products.

I bought this unit just as stores were discontinuing to sell these in-store. While functional, the recording and dubbing quality isn't "HD"... I probably would recommend this if one was heavy in old VHSs and dubbing (when possible).
