    Most of the time was easy but when we tried to record a VHS that was "protected the next several VHS would be difficult to record.

    It took me a while to figure out how to program the settings, and I've only used it to put old VHS tapes onto DVD's, but it does work just fine for that.

    Had no problem installing and hooking it up through my receiver. Picture quality is excellent. Have yet to try the VHS-to-DVD feature, but it says you can do it. Bought this unit because my receiver has component connections, not HDMI.
