without online assistance, i never would not have been able to use it. the manual sucks

The problem is caused by the cable companies! Old DVD players had a buit-in tuner; you now have to have the cable box tuned to the TV station; you can only record 1 program if not on the same TV station.

looks good and function very well.seaching infor and devices use very good. all connections possibilities could be more examples.

I find it very hard to shop in this store have had one to many problems with purchases I have made and I am a big fan !!!

With a large library of old VHS tapes (commerical and homemade) not yet copied to DVD, I willingly paid approximately $100 more to be able to copy from one to the other directly, without having to use any other equipment.

I have used this many times since I bought it. It works great without pauses or skips. The is no fuzziness on the older Video tapes that I watched. I have not tried to tape anything yet, so cannot give a comment on that.

The quality of the new DVDs I created is okay. I'm sure you can't expect perfection when you start with VHS home movies that are over 15 years old. It's fairly easy to use but the instructions could be more user friendly.

have not had an opportunity to use a lot - looking forward to spend more time and using the vhs transfer to dvd feature.

DVD recordings could be much better even without giving Blu-ray quality, and that is includes recording a live program.

I got the player to watch my old VHS tapes on my big screen TV. It works great for this function. I have not tried to burn a DVD yet.

Great product for those who still have old dvd's. ALSO HAS THE ABILITY TO RECORD DIRECTLY FROM YOUR TV, OR FROM AN OLD DVD TO A NEW CD

This TV beautifies our living room; the chrome trim is quite brilliant. The picture display on the TV is vivid and very clear. The TV operates with ease.

i had trouble finding some of the vcr functions at first the manual was not much help on this after i figured out you had to hit the vcr button first everything seems to work ok

I needed a way to view a large collection of VHS tapes through my new Yamaha amplifier. I also wanted to preserve some of them by dubbing them to DVD. This unit allows me to do that with the plus of being able to connect the unit with a single HDMI cable..

Given that there are so very few such devices readily available, this is a reasonably priced item. It isn't fancy; just mainstream. I will get good use out of it -- allowing me to record directly from TV/Cable and also to do transfers from the hundreds of VHS tapes I have (which I will be converting VERY slowly over time.

Love this product but wish it had better editing. Trying to edit my old band vhs tape but just had to stop my tape and forward,so it wasn't to bad but very high quality.

I bought this device primarily to convert VHS tapes to DVDs. This process is underway and it works well.

Received this as a in store replacement for a like item that I had purchased on line that failed after minimal use. This unit is much quieter than the other brand when it is turned on and seems to be much more durable. 5 Stars as I have no complaints!
