his item is exactly as promised! easy setup and the features are great! great buy to keep all those VHS movies in the library!

It's a decent machine for the money. Connection was straight-forward. My first attempts at copying VHS to DVD were relatively easy, though I had a little trouble with entering titles. You have to remember to "finalize" a disc before using it on any other player. And you can't make any changes to a disc, even changing titles, after finalizing. Fortunately there is an "Undo Finalize" option. Once I got the hang of it, it's an easy machine to use.

It's an "ok" recorder. It does it's job. This unit does not have a tuner so you might have to hook it up to it's own cable box. My biggest issue with this model is that once you record programs, and finalize the disc, when you view the disc contents, it only shows the name and date/time recorded. It does not show how long each program is.

I bought this for my business and first one broke...the tray won't eject and makes grinding noise. It happened after 4 months and the warranty only covers 90 days for parts. So i got another one at bestbuy and this time I bought the 4 year warranty for peace of mind. Hopefully this one will last more than 4 years without any trouble. Otherwise, a good machine

great for watching old VHS tapes or transferring VHS family movies to disc. I have not tried all the features but it looks easy to set up and use

the recorder is limited in recording times,that is, it cannot be programmed for times other than the present times. There are limited number of units on the market and this seemed to be reviewed pretty good, The manual is not as clearly written but the information is all there. I have not used the recorder extensively yet, but it seems to be adequate for me.

I was able to transfer nearly 50 vcr tapes to DVDs. Once you get the hang of it, it's easy to operate. DVD-R works best for this machine in my opinion.

The connections available were not enough to make the product really connected but it works well.

My wife has alot of her favorite movies on tapes, so this is the only unit that would work for her. She is so happy to be able to still watch her movies. It works great.

the product works good but I miss the laser link from my surround sound to the vcr-dvd player!!!

Using it to convert my old VHS tapes on to DVDs. Works perfectly. I have told friends about it so that they can preserve their old home movies, too.

I am a beginner at this type of thing. Not very tech savvy and this is so easy to use. Great video quality and a great deal for the money spent.

I wanted an appliance that played and recorded both VHS and DVD. I have not used the recording part yet but hope it will not be that difficult to use. I am not sure I have the wires connected correctly to make it record, That has yet to be tested.. Also, I am not sure which disc to buy to use to record.

Good DVD player, but I'm sure you can find something just as good for much less. We really wanted this player because of the record option, but have not been able to get it to work very well. The one recording we did get to work was of very low quality. The player works well when playing movies, but don't expect too much from the movies you record.

This VHS/DVD combo works great. Has good quality playback for both DVD and VHS. Even plays old VHS tapes well. Easy to set up and use.

My Toshiba DVR620 performed flawlessly right out of the box ! All functions worked perfectly , just as described in the product description. I would rate this product excellent for anyone who requires a quality dvr/vcr recorder.
