Works very well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found the set up instructions not very clear (terminology not defined) and had someone else do it ( I am not very good at electronic technology) but, so far it works quite nicely. I haven't tried to record anything but expect itwill also work.

Hmm
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would be nice if it was a standalone unit. Meaning if you have standard cable you need to purchase extra parts for it to work properly. If you have a cable box to attach to it you might be ok.

Had to return it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a bummer, for the $270.00 cost it should include a tuner. Returned item for a refund since it was of no use to us without the tuner.

It is very useful in reducing my VHS inventory.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very pleased to have another Toshiba product. I still have my Toshiba DVD recorder for use on projects in my basement. The new machine is a welcome edition to the Living-room. Two mediums in one slender package.

enjoyed watching and copying VHS tapes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price I am satisfied. The remote is hard to read. Not used long enough for a comlete review. I have used it to transfer VHS tapes to DVD.

don't do it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Toshiba written operating instructions were wrong. It takes 3 separate phone calls to talk to a company rep and then they only were guessing how to make it work. They finally got it half way working and hung up on me.

Posted .Thank you for the review, normy, and sorry to hear that you're having some sort of difficulty using your DVR620.
If you let us know what you're having trouble with and what part (and page number) of the manual you believe to be incorrect, we'd be happy to help. Just to confirm, is it the User's Guide at support.toshiba.com/support/staticContentDetail?contentId=2842852 that you're referring to?
Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the trouble.

Rated 3 out of 5 stars
Works fine.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The instructions were difficult to understand but I found simple instructions on the Portland State University website for what I needed to do which was to transfer video to dvds.

Only product available with advertised capability
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does what it advertised as expected. The major problem I find is the user's manual. It is not clear enough so it might have more capability (like editing while copying), but it is not clearly stated in the user's manual.
