Able to record the super bowl on dvd great. Toshiba tech support assisted me with setup.. The instructions in book not clear.. With their help I had to jump to different pages to complete the job. They were very helpful. I was satisfied when the call ended and I was able to complete the setup. Works great.

Wanted to be able to backup some online videos I purchased and, while the player works well, having a lot of trouble formatting the recording format. Also, the controls on the remote are not logically setup. But overall it does what it is supposed to do. Dubbing Video tapes is easy.

We have the capability of watching a DVD, a VHS tape or trasnferring a tape to a DVD. With one click, it easily switches back and forth between DVD and VHS. And everything WORKS. I'm sure everyone reading this has had electronics that had to be returned. It's so nice when EVERYthing works. It's worth paying a little extra for high-quality workmanship, and in this case, we got a bargain. If you have to replace something (like from a discount store) every year, it isn't smart in the long run. This is the BEST machine we have ever owned, and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

Bought this to copy videotapes to DVD; so far is working well. Fairly simple to use.

works well as a vhs and dvd player. have not yet tried it as a vhs to dvd copier yet, but i am certain that it will work equally well.

Have been inputting old personal 8 mm tapes from camcorder and also vhs tapes and making DVD's from them. Works great. Also great for watching old VHS movies and DVD movies. Had researched market and reviewed buyer reviews and decided this would be best model and am not disappointed after use. Device seems well made and hopefully will hold up after lots of use. Savings on transcribing tapes to make my own dvd's will result in big savings. Recommend as best solution for others interested in same.

excellent for playing vhs tapes & dvds.. recording from tape to disc can be confusing

This product came in very handy when our cable company decided to upgrade our DVR's and we couldn't figure out a way to save what we had recorded on the DVR, so we purchased this DVD Recorder and it worked out great.

My roommate loves movies but hasn't been able to watch any because in-home service techs didn't know how to hook up her Samsung. I decided to try, but got nowhere. I bought her the same Toshiba 660 DVR I own. It was easy to hook up (1 HDMI Cable) and works like a charm!

I have 15 years of VHS tapes that I wanted to get converted to DVD. This is the machine that can and does do it. The only problem is not with the recorder but the output format has to be recopied so that it can be edited. This is a long process to copy and recopy. t

Once you set it up and if you read the instructions for the conversion from vcr tape to dvd the process is easy but you must check to make sure that you have movies under 2 hrs you can buy dvd's that are longer than 2hrs but they way more and its not worth it if your only talking about another 10 mins. of movie. the quality of vcr tape to dvd has been really good and some of our tapes are from the 1980;s over all it is easy to use and produces good quality dvd's price was ok

Disappointed with printing on the remote. In subdued light it is illegible. The unit is slow in responding to remote input when choosing a video program to watch compared with the unit it replaced. But the 1080p gives a really great picture.

Love it..great for recording tapes onto DVD with ease...no more spending money trying to convert old home movies. I actually returned this due to want rather then need, I still had an older model. Just love the idea and would recommend this to anyone and everyone!!

I wanted to transfer my home videos from VHS tapes to DVDs. The instructions that came with the device were very thorough and easy to understand, and I had no problems whatsoever. I would recommend it to anyone.

Salesperson was very helpful and product delivered as expected; however, it cost a bit more than I wanted to spend.

The unit is great. It records great off TV on either VHS tape or DVD. Also, great for transferring old home videos from vacations and family gatherings to DVD, so they last forever. Glad I bought an extra since they don't make them anymore.

The Toshiba - Multiformat DVD-R/RW/+R/+RW Recorder/VCR Combo was easy to set up. It has a short learning curve. I find it easy to use.

have transferred several VHS tapes to discs with no problems. have many more to do, this machine can handle it!
