Nothing but trouble

Took it back to BB and they sent it for repair. Got it home and realized they had damaged a bracket when repairing it and BB had to send it back. Now with no warranty left I have a new problem. In the area near the bracket that had to be fixed, the bottom has cracked and broken off around the screw. I have it duct taped in an attempt to get as much use out of it as I can. I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER TOSHIBA AGAIN!!!!!!!!

I wonder if Windows Update has been busy downloading & installing updates. That's typically the case with brand new systems, and if so it will tax initial performance until the updating process is completed.
If you don't see expected performance after all software updates are completed or if lock ups persist please contact Toshiba support at 800-457-7777 for troubleshooting help.

I understand that you already returned the product but for the benefit of others reading the review, intermittent Wi-Fi connections can sometimes be caused by driver compatibility. Wi-Fi driver updates are available from support.toshiba.com, along with other software downloads and documentation.

I'm very disappointed with the service they provide n the laptop it's brand new n it's so slow it's taking forever forever to load anything so I take it to them n they saying how I hv to pay them for them to check it out y it's so slow like... N I can't even use it .... I was busy didn't get to return it In time n wasn't using it so I call customer service n wen I go to d store it's a different story they not even trying to help.... ||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wife was looking for a small inexpensive laptop to replace her aging clunker..Originaly we were looking at the Dell and Lenovo options but they left much to be desired..Stumbled upon this guy in the way out and it caught the wife's eye.A quick Google search found mediocr reviews, however the wife really wanted it and he price was right..Long story short, we couldn't be happier with the purchase, one year of office 360 included sure was nice as well..

This symptom has been addressed by a fix from Microsoft which is normally installed automatically by Windows Update. Microsoft's support article at support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3114149 explains details about the symptom, cause, and how to implement the solution.
Toshiba also has a Support Bulletin at www.support.toshiba.com/sscontent?contentId=4008443 with detailed instructions on how to manually implement the solution.
