Overall, it's very slow and wouldn't recommend this as a laptop. It's supposed to switch automatically to tablet mode but it's not very good at it. There are a few spots in the touch screen that could be more responsive.

I switched to Trend Premium Security and have had no problems. Also I didn't need to use Malware Bytes any long as Trend handles that too.

Worst computer I have ever owned

I figured that Best Buy carries good products and some one would point me in the right direction. So I ended up with my new Toshiba . It spends more time loading programs then running them. The windows 10 update it did right when I turned it on makes the computer almost unusable. The touch interface is a joke and the battery last long enough for the programs to load. The key board is cheap as are all the other bits of hardware. I can type faster then the computer prosesses so I have to stop typing and wait for it to catch up. It is a cheap laptop and I was not looking for something top of the line but this is over priced for half the money.

While this model's Pentium processor and 4GB of RAM isn't designed for high-performance requirements (see our Intel Core i-series models for that), it's any amazing value for a Windows touchscreen laptop and should perform will for general consumer computing needs like web browsing, email, and social media.
I wonder the sluggishness you experienced was because Windows Update was busy downloading & installing updates. That's typically the case with brand new systems, and if so it will tax initial performance until the updating process is completed.
If you don't believe your laptop is operating at a performance level appropriate for its specifications please contact Toshiba support at 800-457-7777 to address that with a support technician.
