First computer would not keep the correct time, the second kept rebooting on it's own often.

In 2010 I purchased a Toshiba Satellite Laptop. After years of hand me down Dell's this was the best laptop I have ever owned. However since I am back in school and this 5.5-year-old laptop was slowing down to the point of frustration, I decided to purchase another Toshiba Satellite and settled on this model. I have had it for 2.5 months and it does everything I need it to do. I did have to buy an HDMI adapter to hook up a second monitor which for some reason cancels out of the sound, but this can be solved by connecting it via Bluetooth to my sound stand for the TV. (or any other Bluetooth speaker). The only issue I have had recently is that it is "waking itself up" after I have put it to sleep at night. This not only turns announcements on, but the fan runs full blast as another poster mentioned. It's likely however that this is a software issue with Windows rather than a problem with the laptop itself. My 9-year-old son has the 2010 Satellite, which worked fine after I cleaned the drive, and my teenaged daughter has a lesser model Satellite Radius I bought her in February. For now, this family will stick with Toshiba.

3 important things, brand (I upgrading from Toshiba laptop that I had for 8 years), specs (what under the hood - newer processor, 6th generation, wireless ac, 8 gb ram), & price (I got $100 off). VERY IMPORTANT TO DO YOUR RESEARCH. Check manufacturer website for any known issue / bugs dealing with WIN10. Had to understand whenever there new O/S release, there will be some issues. WIN10 just recently came out with new update last month. RUN THE UPDATES FOR WIN10 & ANY UPDATES FOR TOSHIBA. I had no problem connected to my wireless network. I like 2-1 laptop. Very lightweight (don't miss CD drive - I had no use for it or Ethernet port since everything is wireless #. Battery life great #remember depend on what you do some things will drain battery fast). Bluetooth connection, connect to my wireless speaker & smart phone. I like the HD touchscreen & backlit keyboard. I am very please with this laptop

This PC seems to be really slow, almost at a turtle pace when typing and navigating through Internet. Would have returned if it wasn't for Bestbuy's short return policy.

I so wanted to love this laptop. I purchased it and took it back two days later. I was so frustrated with the keyboard. I didn't realize it was the keyboard for a day, I just thought I was typing poorly. At first only a few letters didn't work, then it went to an entire row. There were so many features of this computer that I liked, but I returned it and got a different brand. I am quite happy with this one.

Well I was more satisfied by Toshiba before. I had to dump my toshiba in a short time before. Hopefully this will last longer
