I find the keyboard finger compatible. Some keyboards aren't. The online guide spells everything out clearly. The Toshiba tech team is very proficient. I'm always tempted to purchase another brand, but at that pivotal moment, I go back to my no-fault brand...Toshiba!

Geek squad could not get going. They declared it defective I tried a second Toshiba Computer and I had the Geek squad start up the computer. They called me and told me the 2nd computer was defective. I switched brands and so far this one is working

While this computer works basically well it is not nearly as good as my former HP and not close to my Dells. Most my disappointment is with the touch pad. I have tried modifying the touch but it has a tendency to jump all over the place, open screens on it's own and send messages before I hit send. I will convert to using a mouse, which I hate, but I am left with little else.

Posted .Thank you for the review, VR11, and sorry to hear that you encountered some sort of flickering/flashing issue with your Satellite Radius P55W-C5314.
It's possible that display driver (software) corruption caused the problem. If so, reinstalling or updating the display and touchscreen drivers should resolve it.
Here's how to reinstall the touchscreen driver:
1. Go to Device Manager
2. Select Human Interface Devices
3. Find the touchscreen in the list (HID-compliant touch screen)
4. Right-click then Select Uninstall
5. Restart the computer
The driver should automatically reinstall after the restart.
To reinstall or update the display driver visit http://support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=1200010969 -- from there click on the 'Drivers & Updates' tab then select the 'Display' filter on the left side of the page and the latest display driver will appear at the top of the list.
If the above steps don't solve the problem, see the Toshiba Forums community knowledge base article at http://forums.toshiba.com/t5/System-Recovery-and-Recovery/What-recovery-options-are-available-in-Windows-10/ta-p/657985 for help running the Windows Refresh/Reset process.

So far the laptop is performing flawlessly and has helped her to finish school with a 4.0 gpa. Can't complain about that!
