    Had to return first one due to keyboard malfunction. It did not have quad core, it had dual core i7 instead.

    Ok but get blue screen restarts

    When the laptop works it's ok out of the box. the startup speed is very slow. You can't use this in sunlight so don't plan on taking it outside. Major issue are blue screen restarts. After a month of using it the computer crashes.

      I recommend performing a Windows Reset to see if that might eliminate the blue screen issues, since they can indicate corruption of Windows itself. Make sure all of your files were backed up since it will remove all data that has been saved on the primary storage.

      Also, once the Windows Reset process is completed, we recommend NOT letting Windows Update install any "optional" updates since those can overwrite drivers & utilities that are optimized for or by Toshiba. Optional updates can be installed via the Toshiba Service Station app or by visiting support.toshiba.com. That said, we DO recommend using Windows Update to install 'important' updates.

    Toshiba Satellite Radius Sucks!

    Bought the first laptop and the speakers/sound system was broken. Returned it Best Buy to exchanged for a new one. A month after, the cooling system was having problems. It needed to be shipped and repaired to Jeffersonville, Indiana. They told me that it would take no longer than 10 business days to repair. They had it since April and I'm still waiting.

      If there is a part backorder the turnaround time can exceed the typical maximum of 7-10 days for a warranty repair. You can check the repair status at depotgateway.toshiba.com or call Toshiba support at 800-457-7777.

    It may seem like a good deal considering it comes with an Intel core i7 processor but it is impossible to stay connected to wifi unless you are directly underneath the router. After researching the problem, it seems like the wifi card, produced by Intel, is faulty and Toshiba and Intel are unwilling to fix it. There is no replacement wifi card for this model laptop. So what seems to be a good deal is just a piece of garbage. I am a grad student and this laptop has negatively impacted my school work.

    Three months after buying this computer it is now out for repairs for keyboard problems. Tech told me that Toshiba is having issues with keyboard not working. Since I bought this for my daughter to start college she is now starting the first two weeks without a computer.

    I took it back to best buy and they wouldn't let me return the defective computer . It is only a month old: the keyboard is frozen and the screen is black. They said I had to return it to Toshiba and let the warranty take care if. Now I won't have a computer for weeks while it is repaired.

      The average turnaround time for repairs is 7-10 days. Sometimes repairs are completed significantly faster but they will seldom take longer unless there is a part backorder.

    Awful Computer

    The first one the sound did not work right out of the box. The second one after only two weeks turned off one time and never turned on again. Geek Squad could do nothing for it. Now the third and same computer as the first two has two keys that are sticking and keeps freezing up and having to be shut down after a couple of hours to continue on. I would NEVER recommend this computer to anyone. I have had several previous Toshiba's and have really loved them. NOT THE CASE WITH THIS ONE.

      Thank you for the review, Netlondon, and sorry that you experienced some sort of an issue with the adapter of the Toshiba Radius.

      Adapters do tend to get warm or even what some might consider hot. It can generally be expected when used for extended periods of time, but would be cause for concern if it were so hot that it became uncomfortable to touch. In such cases we would recommend disconnecting the adapter from the wall outlet and contacting Toshiba support at 800-457-7777 for further direction.

      I wonder if you have tried plugging the adapter into another AC outlet at a different location, in case there's a problem with the wiring where it has been used when seeming to overheat.

    Awful, slow.

    My husband and I purchased this lap top for myself less than a month ago. We were told by a best buy sales person this was a great laptop and would fit my business needs. I have had this lap top for just over. Month, have installed only Microsoft office, and a virus protection on the lap top, and have used it only for a month long online class. The antivirus did not do its job, the computer is slow and bogs down. Unfortunately, we were stupid and did not purchase a warranty so I am at a loss of $1000 for a months use of the laptop. Do not waste your money. For $900 you would think this lap top would at least last a few years.

    Wi-Fi doesn't work

    I have had this computer for less than a month and have had terrible issues with the wi-fi. It takes FOREVER to download anything. At first I thought it was my internet but none of our other devices are experiencing slow speeds. Last night I went ahead and reset the router to be sure (I was trying to download Windows Essentials and it wouldn't download). After the router came back on some how the Wi-Fi on the laptop became disabled and nothing I do will turn it back on so I can reconnect to the internet. Planning on returning this since a computer with no internet is pretty much an expensive paper weight.
