Setup was quick and easy following the included instructions. My old router was about 5 years old. It was constantly loosing internet and slow speeds when it did work. Since I installed the TP Link about a month ago I have not dropped service once. I have Spectrum internet. My download speed is now about 3X what it was. I get good coverage over my entire house.

After struggling with a new tri-band DLink that in the end I returned, I ordered this TP-Link after reading the reviews and really glad I did. The router fired right up, brought my iPad right to the admin screen to change the password, reconfigure the WiFi, and make some other custom changes. The coverage is outstanding on all of the bands in my 3000 sq ft home and my 300/50 mb/sec fiber service is 285/50 both in the user interface and on the 5.8 WiFi. The parental features are very easy to set up, especially with the on-line schooling, and the X-Box and other devices are off-line during school hours. Overall I'm very happy with the unit, but the antennas stick out like a sore thumb on the top of my wall unit.

I didn't need a new router. I had been eyeing this one for some time. I had internet service put in at my dad'd house, so that gave me the excuse to install my router at his house and replace mine with this one. Unfortunately, I was on a time schedule and had to cancel this order with Best Buy because it was going to take a couple of weeks to show up. Instead I ordered it from Amazon and just happened to catch it on sale. I can't say that I notice a speed increase. My plan is a "up to" 200 Mbps plan, so my modem and router both outperform the internet service. With my phone about 2 feet away, I measure 234 Mbps download speed. It was VERY easy to set up. I have it near the center of my 2,000 sq ft home and I have internet in my yard up to at least 50 ft in all directions, which is far better than my old router, which was designed for large homes.

Initially the 2.4 Ghz band disappeared and did not come back after about a week. Contacted TP-Link and they had me ship it to them. After their testing they sent me the latest version of this model and has been working fine since. I only had to go about 10 days using an old router. Set up is easy and works great with coverage over all of my house and the yard areas outside. Nice improvement over old router that would not cover the whole 2500 sf house. Of course they now have a Wifi 6 router like this, but will wear this out before upgrading again.

This is a must have!! My internet was running slow, due to 5 cameras security system installed recently. I decided to upgrade my router and all my issues want away immediately. I currently have two phones, laptop, two smart TV, vacuum, sprinkler system and 5 camers running all at the same time with zero peoblems!

I work from home and while my ISP provides good bandwidth, i suspected the router I was using was limiting performance. This router works great. No lag from work computers, gaming computers or wireless streaming on my samsung televisions. Even when they are all up and running.

Rock-solid, dependable, and the built-in OpenVPN Connect client isn't bad at all (beats the heck out of setting up DynDNS and OpenVPN yourself, and I say that coming from a pfSense). The one beef I have is that there's no multi-gig / 10Gb switch port on it, but to be fair, the two link aggregation ports will do for 95% of users (the rest of us are running NIC teaming in-OS). It also cut the power usage and noise levels on my rack _way_ down - I was able to remove an Optiplex 7020 desktop (pfSense router), a Netgear R6300 v2 WAP, and a Netgear JGS728TP switch from the rack, and my home office is a lot more tolerable now. I'm looking forward to see how it gets in the summer.

router looks amazing, great performance and speed for the price. definitely a must if your looking for the ultimate gaming setup

Tried this in our 2 story apartment - the software and setup was nice, but the speeds were middling. Beat by two other more affordable options.

The last firmware update was over a year ago. Nothing perfect and the router had some issues. Even after I opened a ticket with TP Link, they indicated that the router had no issues and didn't require a firmware update. Data traffic was not being tracked correctly for starters. Everything showed as zero even when I was streaming. It also kept dropping devices. My outdoor camera lights would turn on and off all night because of it. Switched to a different product and now traffic and devices are good. Lights are back to normal.

Very fast indeed. Easy to get it up and running. Provides amazing speeds with the wifi 6.

my background I have been an IT Tech since the 90s Build & maintain my own machines networks and websites & for my family & friends Router was fine for the first month then started to randomly shut off no WIFI no wired connection only solution is to power cycle router have contacted the manufacture have reflashed & reset the router to factory specs numerous times hoping it would resolve the issue NADA it got worse as I had to restart the router manually 20 time a day I purchased a geek squad extended replacement warranty along with this router (ONLINE!!!) spent an entire day with best buy 3 chats 5 phone calls the last phone call was shuffled around to 9 different departments over 1.5 hrs only to be told I need to bring the router to my nearest store that is not feasible as the nearest store is 200 miles away I purchased this online want to have this resolved ONLINE as with all the products I purchased from best buy spent over $1000 on networking products I wanted this to be handled like my other purchases online I am so very disappointed with this whole situation the router when it worked had a 2 Square mile range I live in the country & was using this router to cover my entire property 5 acres I have a network topology that includes 5 wifi extenders both netgear & TP-Link I am running 5 PCs 40 POE cameras wirelessly via the range extenders connected to (3) NETGEAR - 8-Port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet PoE/PoE+ Unmanaged Switches Model:GS108LP100NAS along with several texas wifi 8 port poe injectors connected to several NETGEAR - 8-Port 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch - Blue Model:GS108-400NAS Each of the 4 buildings has its own wifi connection it wasn't feasible to run hard wired connections to each of the outlying buildings I purchased another TP-Link router the AX6000 which for the most part is stable just wish best buy & TP-Link would have worked with me & helped me to resolve this issue

Worked way better than expected. We are two PC gamers so having our games not crash when we’re both playing and kids are watching Netflix. It’s also a great price if you’re on a budget.

Very easy to install, you don't need a geek help, the instructions are very easy to follow. Sometimes it is not fast that it is supposed to be.

The router works better than my old one, but I feel that the router is over priced.

Awesome Gaming Router. My wife and I use it to when we work remotely from home and for my son's remote learning. We use it for gaming on pc, ipad, iphone, ps4, xbox also. We live in an apartment so it works well without issues. App on iphone works well enough. Feels secure with WPA2 encryption. Just remember to go to TP-Link wifi settings to make WPA2 default as Apple iphones and ipads will alert you of not being in that setting when you 1st buy this router. Wish it was standard setting but it is not difficult to change.

If you live in a house full of gamers, this is the router for you.

Very fast wireless when within range. Not sure distance from router is that great, still evaluating that feature.
