Great Mesh System
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My house has dead/low signal spots all over and we have struggled with getting our WiFi to do a good job. I finally looked into different kinds of extenders and settled with this mesh network, setup was fairly simple. The AC1200 has been awesome, we have consistent, reliable internet throughout our whole house and the speeds now is more than what we are actually paying for so it’s amazing. We can use all our devices, run various video calls, whatever we need. I am so happy with this purchase and our ability to actually use our internet the way we need!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The only Mesh system I have used so I cannot compare them to others. We have a 600 mbps plan and wirelessly we get sometimes between 290-350 speed depending on if you use Speedtest or Fast.com. If you can connect these via a MOCA adapter or straighter ethernet cord I have had speeds in the 500's. The modem can definitely make a difference. We had a Motorola modem that was very fast and started to lag. I replaced with an Arris modem and they are allowing for bit faster speeds. You may have to try a couple of times to set them up and they communicate best during set up if they are close together, then you can unplug the ones you want and move them farther away.

The set up was very easy to follow, and the end result for my almost 3000 square-foot house was very satisfactory. So far it seems the whole house is able to be served by this system.

These devices only have 2 cable connections so they are NOT a replacement for cable service company routers. However they can be used in tandem to extend range. Just don’t follow their “east to follow” instructions which start with disconnecting your service providers’ device, at least until your count how many other devices you might need to plug in.

Buyer beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My house is about 3,000 square feet so I bought three deco's and as I put them in they seem to work okay. Then everything started to quit working my ring doorbells quit working. My internet kept going down computers, quit working. Internet TV quit working. Had an IT guy come out looked at. It shows that they're picking up signal but they're not distributing signal. Biggest piece of junk and waste of money. Do not buy The Deco

Posted .Deco nodes link to each other via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. If you are placing the nodes with the intent of them linking wirelessly make sure the nodes are placed in open and unobstructed area that are 25-30 apart from each other. This makes sure there is adequate overlap in the node's signals and ensures they can communicate with each other. Now if you have them set up like that then we recommend contacting TP-Link Support for assistance.
HORRIBLE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE PRODUCT!!!!! I've had this system for 6 months (on the dot). I have noticed multiple flucutations with the speeds and coverage. Today the system completely went down. Spent HOURS with customer service that could barely speak english. After going through the troubleshooting solutions (multiple times) they finally decided to issue an RMA. Come to find out I have to pay for shipping of the replacement or spend more money with them to have the defective product replaced. Needless to say I will not be purchasing from this brand anymore.
