Works as advertised
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having trouble with getting a wifi signal to my outdoor accent lighting and various areas of my home. I tried different extenders, but nothing worked. Until I purchased this mesh set. They are easy to setup and work flawlessly. My Comcast plan is for 100mb, and I now have recoded speeds up to 160mb. I no longer have connection problems with my devices.

Simple setup and configuration... Too simple
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TP-Link Deco router looks sleek and was very simple to configure. For most individuals with basic Internet needs, it would satisfy most needs. My primary issues are two parts: 1. While the router boasts of 2.4/5 GHz support, both signals are broadcast as a single SSID. This means that if you connect a device that supports both bands, the device will determine which to use. 2.4 will give the stronger signal, but suffer a limit on nadeidth speeds. In my case, many connections defaulted to the 2.4, causing my speed to cap out at around 80 Mbps rather than the 450 Mbps I get with the 5 GHz signal. The only way to split out the 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies is to setup the guest network with the alternate frequency and set both SSIDs to.be discreetly 2.4 or 5 GHz. This brings me to the second problem. 2. The number is SSID is limited to the primary and guess network. The needs in my WiFi environment is to.have a discrete internal WiFi for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, I'm addition to a guest WiFi. Since I must use the "guest WiFi" to host one of the discrete frequencies as an internal SSID, I am unable to setup and actual guest WiFi. If not for these two primary issues, I would have likely kept the product and would have been very pleased. The 3 stars is for its simplicity and easy setup. It loses two stars for the amount on control provided. An additional note is that within the router setup, it does allow for extra Internet security at the router, such as malware site blocking, it comes at an additional subscription cost while some other routers provide those as base features of the router. I would probably recommend if advanced configuration is not needed and the additional security features are not a concern.

Posted .Hello Ben
It is very common for Mesh Systems to use a combined network ID to provide network traffic needs. At first your concerns, especially with older legacy devices, was quite common. TP-Link has addressed this in 2 ways. 1. In most models we now include an IoT network that can be set to either 2.4 or 5 GHz and is intended to put your IoT devices in a segregated network. 2. We included a feature of not only prefered node but preferred band which directs a client to that specific node or band.

LOVE THIS BAD BOY!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came from a netgear WiFi system and compared to that system this DECO system is way better with faster speeds. My 1st netgear was not giving my max speeds, the 2nd system stopped working after 2 weeks and now this current system has been working fantastic for over month now. It covers my entire 1600 square ft house. LOVE IT! I will update in a few months but so for great system

Fantastic
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been wonderful for me. Zero issues and super easy to set up. I have gig speed internet and 40 devices on my network and zero issues. In fact, devices on the older goggle nest that would disconnect don’t anymore on this system. Range and signal strength are great in my 2 story, 2500 sq ft home. I would definitely recommend.

Fixed My Internet!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were having incredibly spotty internet with Xfinity in our upstairs office at 400MB because of the distance. I was skeptical especially when I saw the downloads speed but what it may shorten in download speed if strengths in pure steady connectivity where needed. My wife works from home and now she has perfect connection. Great product

Not sure why it took me so long, but happy I did
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I struggled to keep my old Netgear Nighthawk router and extender platform up and running. Since installing the Deco AX3000 (over a month ago), I am 100% satisfied. The signal never goes down and is super consistent. Setup was simple and the parental controls are better than what I had from Netgears paid add-on service (The Circle). Highly recommend this system.

Worth it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to get this because I needed ethernet ports and to stop having spotty Wi-Fi. I got it on sale, easy setup didn't have any issues throughout it. Pretty good range reaches all the way to my garage. Would recommend if you just need something simple medium price range that doesn't break the bank. It fixed my issues and probably would buy a more expensive one from this brand knowing how simple it is was.

The Best for the money in Mesh WiFi
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have set up several TP Deco mesh systems for family and friends. They are easy to get installed and work great. This one was on sell and I purchased it to replace my older Deco which was damaged by lightning. It works great and so far it has exceeded my expectations.

I had some spots with 1 bar of Wi-Fi and now I have full bars in every room, garage and back yard! Speeds are amazing too, multiple TVs streams, iPads, laptops and phones along with all the smart home stuff and zero lag! Love this system, already recommended to friends.

Phenomenal
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These Deco units are great. They have solid range, excellent hand off, and are easy to setup and get started. Some extra futures in the app would be nice but for 90% of users who are looking to plug them in and never touch the settings again, it's a excellent choice.
