Great small camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got the deal of 2 wifi plugs and camera. Love that their all controlled in the same app. And it gives a usage history so you know when it's on and off status. Plus you get notification on your phone to alert you. Awesome kit for someone with a budget and getting great features.

In home security cam, to watch to dog.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this camera. Have it setup on my bedroom/office desk. But found that it works great to see when the dog gets on the bed when we aren’t home. Also, two way communication works great to tell the dog to get off my bed while I’m away. Lol

Better than expected!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far the greatest WiFi camera I used so far. the resolution is great! I was unsure if the tilt/pan feature was gonna be an issue as this camera doesn't have it but the wide angle allows me to see our apartment kitchen, hall and living room at the same time.

Excellent Indoor Security Camera
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the Kasa camera so we could keep an eye on our dog that stays indoors while we are out and about. The first thing I noticed upon picking up the camera is the actual weight of it. Its frame, stand and arm are all made of metal, very heavy duty feeling and sturdy. The base has a magnet in it so you can attach it to any metal surface without adhesives, and there’s a rubber ring around the underside of the base to keep from scratching the surface it’s stuck to. The first thing you do is install the app from the Android or IOS store, we use Android so any reference to the software will be for that. Starting up the App you will be prompted to sign in or set up an account. After entering you information you will receive a confirmation email and then you are ready to set up the camera. You can plug in your camera now and then go to the App, there you will set up your first device, and it will find the camera on the network, “make sure the camera LED is blinking an alternating amber/green color”. As soon as the app finds the camera you will need to enter your wireless account password. After a minute or so you will receive a message stating the camera is ready to use. I found the app pretty easy to use but it needs quite a bit of refinement and not quite as good as some of the competitors out there, fortunately if TP Link has an opportunity to really make this a nice app. You can set up scheduling so the camera turns on at scheduled times, you can also set up “Activity Zones” so only certain areas of the viewable area alerts and record motion. This is really nice as I can block out a zone around the ceiling where the ceiling fan would otherwise give off a bunch of false alerts. There are actually quite a few settings that you can adjust from the app, from resolution, night vision sensitivity even turn the status led on the front of the camera on/off. When viewing the camera there’s a microphone button you can press/hold and can speak through the camera. It actually works pretty well and it’s a little louder than the other cameras I have that also have this feature. You can access the recorded videos by selecting the “Bell” icon, under that tab you will see the list of recorded videos, you can also download them if you wish to keep a clip longer than the plan you are on. I set the video quality on 1080, and it’s very good, clear, well-lit and sharp. You can also do a finger pinch to zoom in / out of the image which also works very well. At night the IR lighting is bright enough to light up a standard sized bedroom easily. It would be nice if there were a manual record button and a snapshot button, I actually use that feature often on our other system and hopefully this will be added in the future. The free account gives two days of storage and 1gb of storage space, not much but it’s free and it’s plenty for us as we are not using this as our main security cameras. You can opt for different levels of the Kasa Care program, $40 gets you a year of 14 day storage and a 14gb limit. $70 a year comes with 30 days and 30gb but this is also for each camera, so if you have more than one camera you would have to multiply that by the number of cameras. I could see having one main camera with larger / longer storage and then have other cameras on the base plan, in all it’s not too bad of a setup. This is a really nice camera to use indoors, and we’ll be keeping it as it works for what we want and the video quality is extremely good, hopefully they will make the app a little more user friendly.

Terrible audio
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this camera as an alternative to the much higher priced Nest camera, but the microphone on it was terrible. All the sound was garbled, and a quick Google search confirmed that other users complained of the same issue. It's too bad; the video quality was nice. I ended up returning it and buying a Nest Camera. From now on, It's Nest for me. This is actually the first TP-Link product that I wasn't satisfied with, and I own a lot of TP-Link products.

Great security camera
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great product and the camera's lenses are very wide. The only downside was that everything happening on the camera was delayed when it was on my screen. Still a very strong product

Options are a bit limited
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the camera for security use but my only grip, is able to control all the notifications without disabling that feature. You cant do that on the app like you can for other systems.

Worked fairly well for a week!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, it worked well with good definition for a week and then it will not connect or send a photo or so much of anything, other than tell me with a note that something moved....but what? I have since purchased a Wyze camera, for half the price and it works fine. Of course the day to return this POC has passed so I got me a 60 buck paperweight.

Decent camera option
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a pretty good camera, but definitely not top of the line. Picture quality isn’t bad, but the audio could definitely be better.
