Great camera, frustrating app
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Superb camera with great style, function, quality and ease of use. The app is very frustrating. I try and try to set up a scheduled alert and although I see the options I am unable to click on them, this is with my Pixel2 so I may try again with my iPhone or iPad and see if I have better luck there. I am only able to turn on or off the alert function, not customize it for a specific time. Other than this I love the camera. It has multiple mounting options, on the stand, the magnetic base or the included plastic disc you can screw to the wall for attachment. Camera is rotatable as well to get that perfect angle. Mic and speaker work well and sound good, not garbled like some cameras. Set up was as simple as possible, I think it took more time to get the package opened and emptied out. The fish eye lens and 1080p HD quality are awesome! Great indoor WiFi app enabled camera. If I get Apple's IOS to run the app better I will update my review.

Some what disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera is ok, but it records activity even if you have it off mode and the delete process is long. The camera also comes on by itself even if you have it turned off in the App..

Terrible, lasted two weeks...
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You Tube reviews say it is bad, do not buy. It lasted two weeks and then would no longer connect to internet Tech support offered to send another one--told them to forget it.

Not bad for the money...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.... when it is on sale. The Camera comes with 2 days free cloud storage which is more than enough. The audio is pretty bad on this device, however.

Beautiful video, lacking features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Kasa Cam KC120 is a very nice camera, but there's one feature missing that is a big deal for me. First the good: Setup was super simple with the Android app. I had no problems whatsoever using the app to connect to the camera and then get the camera connected to my home network. This took less than 2min to complete. The build quality of the camera is very good. Everything is solid and well built. I like that TP Link included a wall mountable support, in addition to the base stand. The video quality is excellent. The night vision mode can be set to auto, always off or always on. I'll be using this in low light situations so this was important to me. All of the settings are easily accessible via the app and all work well. Changes are applied and saved quickly and there isn't a lot of lag time. Now the bad: I really wanted to like this camera. It does perform well and I'm sure for most applications this will be a great camera. However, there is one feature missing that is very important for me: there is no support for viewing the live feed in a web browser. What's the point of having beautiful 1080p video if you can only see it in on a tiny phone screen? While recorded video is nice, for my use case recorded video is pretty much useless and I want to be able to see live video on a larger PC screen which is not currently possible. If it were not for this missing feature I would give this camera 5 stars.

It would have been nice
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.if the WIFI plug that was suppose to come free with this was included in on the shipping with this item as I intended. I did not realize that I had to go pick it up until after the store had changed hours for Corvid 19 and I am one of the essential workers working from home for a company making PPE and medical device parts, so I was not able to go in to get the item was suppose to be included.

Fantastic camera!! RECOMMENDED!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've tried several cameras for in home security and most are pretty good a sense that they have a good picture, have a pretty nifty app and, in general, do a good, or even great, in home monitoring. The problems come in with four areas: first, setting up the camera, some will not connect easily or without manipulation. Second is remote connecting OUTSIDE of the home. Third is simple reliability. How many times do you uou attempt to connect to your camera, whether inside or outside of the home, and the camera is not reachable and needs a hard reset to be connected to? And lastly, the ability to store your pictures and videos off site without paying for a subscription based fee. These are the four issue I have found that make or break a camera one intends to use for home security monitoring. And to find one that overcomes all four means you are GOLDEN. Well this camera does just that!! First, setup is fast and easy and the camera is up and working within minutes. Second, I've now connected to this camera from work 40 miles away probably one hundred times or more without a single issue. Folks, this is miraculous! Third is in the few weeks that I've owned this camera not once have I had to hard reset it. Even after resetting my router several times the camera will reconnect on its own. And lastly is the fact that TP-LINK is kind enough to provide two days worth of off site, cloud based storage for free. Sure you can pay for more but this is enough for me. Folks, I can't highly recommend this camera any more than say it's the best you will find in this price range. Heck, it may be the flat out best camera in any price range. And this is coming from a guy who has probably about fifteen in home security cameras. If you're looking for a good, reliable camera with off site free cloud storage then look no further!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Pros: Very fast and easy setup, always connects even out of home, excellent 1080p picture, free cloud recording, reliable, reliable, reliable!! Cons: inability to have more sensitivity zones than high, medium or low, more than 2 days of cloud recording is a required paid subscription

Great video quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TP-LINK - Kasa Cam Indoor HD Camera is great. I needed a camera for my detached garage and this one was so easy to setup. I had it up and running in no time. The picture quality is great. It is lightweight and easy to place on the wall. The harder is included. The only downside to the TP-LINK - Kasa Cam Indoor camera is the app that is limited. You can setup recording schedules and alert areas. Over all, it is really easy to setup and the picture quality is great. I would definitely recommend the TP-LINK - Kasa Cam Indoor HD camera to anybody.

Beautiful picture!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera is simply plug and play. I could figure out most of the details to get this working. There are no clear instructions. The video it provides is just beautiful even at 720p. Crystal clear. I have it set up to keep an eye on my cats when I'm in the other room or gone. Their motion and/or sound causes the recording to start. I do notice a bit of sound static whenever it records which is quite disappointing and annoying. It can be set to record two way sound when watching live video. I have a problem with that sound as well... The sound recorded at the source is fine, but when I speak through my iPhone it distorts my voice. Cons: I would like to be able to see how much is stored in the cloud since there are 3 pay levels... 30 days, 30gb $7/mo or $70/yr. 14 days, 14gb $4/mo or $40/yr & free for 2 days or 1gb stored to the cloud. It starts with a 30 day premium trial, but I can't find anywhere where I can see how many GB I've used to date so I can gauge which plan I might want. Also, for the recorded clips, it shows the time it was recorded, but it doesn't show the length of the clip until you open it. This is an inexpensive easy to use home "spy" cam, but it does have its flaws. A few tweaks could make this so much better. Also, I would like it to be able to pan on command from within the Kasa app; that would be cool instead of just a static camera. I set the sensitivity so it wouldn't constantly record, but every time a cat stretches, it still records. I had to turn off all camera notifications because every minute it went off. Overall this is a fun toy that could be so much better & so more useful.

Good Camera - Basic Operations
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first security camera for my home. I was very impressed with the ease of setup. I downloaded the Kasa app and within minutes had the camera up and running. I had not positioned it where I intended on putting it and the app warned me that I would need to run the setup once again however, I ran a firmware update (which may or may not have been what allowed this) and afterwards moved the camera to another area of the house but did not need to run the update again. The camera itself seems sturdy and well made and the cord is of ample length to reach a further distance such as a ceiling or area that is out of the way. The color video that it records is excellent and playback for when it captured video was quick to download and viewable almost instantly. I like the notifications but once I configured them properly and setup timeframes for when I would get them, it was much better. Basically, I don't need the camera on during the day and it will only alert me at night when everyone is typically sleeping. That said, I can turn it on manually at any time with the app and check in on things as necessary. My only concern is around security, I would like the ability to setup dual-authentication so that I know my videos are only being seen by me and no prying eyes that may have compromised my credentials. Overall, I recommend this camera as I think its a quality device with good video and decent control options.
