We always recommend ensuring your router's Wi-Fi signal is adequately strong in the device's location. Within the Kasa Smart app, there's a feature that allows you to measure Wi-Fi signal strength of your devices. When the app is connected, please check the signal strength in the Device Settings menu.
If the signal is within the ideal range, and you're still experiencing these symptoms, please ensure your Kasa Smart app is up to date, then update your smart device's firmware by selecting Me → Firmware Update within the Kasa app.

Store video in 720p only.

The app gets confused and you have to re sign in the Kasa app. Quick and easy to set up. Use qr code provided by the company when you open the box, follow the instructions and within 10 minutes, it's installed in your phone and ready to use.

The set up was a little confusing with setting up the wifi but i was still able to do it without additional instructions

I use it as outdoor security by putting it in my living room window facing outside. It came on time and wrapped well, no damage. It's lagging at times but I can live with that but if you can't take the lagging then it's not for you. Best Buy really does have the best buys.

I was not able to get the camera to store anything. After 60 minutes on the phone with TP-Link Tech Support, they said they did not know why the record function was not working.

If the symptom persists, please try using another Micro SD card that is of compatible capacity and speed (Class 10 or higher).
We also recommend making sure the camera's firmware is fully up-to-date by selecting Me → Firmware Update within the Kasa app.

Does not record 24/7

It can be plugged into a power source with a SD card and it still won’t record. It cuts chucks of the day. Hours at a time if you want want 24 hour camera. Look for something else
