Sure you could program it but it’s more fun this way. Gave 1 each to son and son-in-law.

They are also easy to program. I have not had any problem with them dropping out and they have reconnected after a power outage without a re-program.

Beats going outside to unplug, when you can set a timer or control it on or off manually with the Kasa app. Setup was a breeze. Highly recommend.

Nice Option For Remote Lights
