This little plug works great and was easy to setup. No issues so far and the app controls the plug just fine. Hooking it up to my Echo DOT this weekend, for a hard reach light. I don't anticipate any issues doing this.

My roommate has vision problems and to be able to turn on lights with my echo dot and his voice. It's changed the way he gets around at night, looking for MORE things for them to do. A WELL THOUGHT OUT PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!

I have a couple of Wimo Minis that we use but this TPLink plug works just as well, if not better. It has great features and takes up minimal space allowing us to still use the 2nd plug in the outlet for something else.

I have a couple lights that don't have easily accessible power switches and this makes it easy to turn them on and off but I was surprised and pleased to find out that I could use my location to synchronize the on/off cycle to sunset and sunrise (in addition to other options). It looks like the price recently increased by a couple dollars from when I purchased it but it's still a reasonable deal.

These plugs have changed my life. I have a ton of LED lights in my room for my computer set up and display cases and using these plugs with the Kasa app makes my life so much easier. I use the app to schedule all the lights I have plugged into these smart plugs to come on at night automatically and then I can turn them off manually on the app whenever I’m ready to go to bed.

I have all the lights in the house connected with the Philips Hue bulbs and app on my cell phone to control them through Alexa or just use my cell phone to turn them off and on if not at home. You could use your cell phone alone, if you don't have Alexa or Google Assist. You can do the same with these plugs...use their app or connect the app to Alexa or Google Assist. I have a floor lamp that has multiple small bulbs and the cost would have been pretty high for individual smart bulbs, if that size are even available in smart bulbs. I bought a set of two of these smart plugs and put them both to good use. This past Christmas I plugged in the Christmas tree to one of the plugs and the floor lamp got plugged into the other one. When I wanted to turn the Christmas tree on or off, all I had to do was say "Alexa, turn on Christmas tree" or "Alexa, turn off Christmas tree". It is nice not to have to bend down behind the tree and unplug it and plug it back in to turn it off and on. With the floor lamp, all I have to do is say, "Alexa, turn on floor lamp" or "Alexa, turn off floor lamp". This would be a great way to start on your way to a smart house to see if you like the idea of turning lights on and off with just your voice instead of a switch. Start small and if you like it go big. Working toward a smart house is pretty addictive.

Got this as a Black Friday deal with Amazon Echo. You can use the Kasa app to control it manually or give it a name and Alexa can turn it on and off for you. We used it with our Christmas tree lights and I also setup a timer on Alexa to automatically turn the lights on and off. But could also ask Alexa to "turn 'my plug' on" (I called it 'my plug', I know, not very original) and it would turn on the lights. There was one difficulty when trying to pair it with Alexa but I finally figured that out.

Paired with an Echo Dot these WiFi plugs work near flawlessly within my home. I own no less than five of them to operate everything from a living room with multiple lamps to the Christmas tree. They don't require any special hub unlike other smart devices and can be operated with a special smartphone app. Compatibility with Amazon's Alexa extends their usefulness and makes them one of the more cost-friendly options to help automate your home and make it "smarter".

I had my son integrate this into my home environment. I also purchased a Belkin plug with similar functionality. I purchased this TP Link to test their product vs Belkin. This device does NOT require you download an app to set it up. It was then integrated into my Google Home hub and I use it to turn lamps on automatically at dusk and off at the end of the night. Of course the hub controls it also with voice commands and it works flawlessly. I have not had any issues with it. It was cheaper than the Belkin. I purchased more Belkins only because of the companies reputation but for now there is no functional difference between the TP Link and Belkin. The TP Link works fine and saves you some money compared to the Belkin.

I bought this together with an Amazon Echo Dot. It is useful for items you plug in the wall and want to turn on and off with voice commands. Setup amounts to downloading an app and enabling an Alexa skill. Simple.

I purchased the tp-link smart Wi-Fi plug in order to pair it with my Google home to illuminate my Christmas tree with voice commands. Setup was an absolute Breeze after I downloaded the kasa app, got the app talking to my Google home and plugged in my Christmas tree. I would highly recommend this plug to anyone looking to control any "plug in" device with voice commands. The price was right at Best Buy, and I have absolutely no regrets. Get one for next Christmas and Amaze your family!!

great smart plug. works as intended - i have a few hooked up with to control w/ google home through smart speakers, and they work great. the kasa app is good too and can do smart schedule (for things like sunset), but i don't use that as much for indoor smart plugs. they're also designed small enough so you can still use the 2nd outlet in your normal outlet if needed

I set this up to the lamp in my son's room and it functions perfectly. Now when I tell google home to turn off his light, it goes off and the opposite is true as well. Nothing left to say aside from.... it works.

This smart plug is great. Simple to use by itself or with Alexa. Doesn't block the second outlet, which is nice as many smart plugs block it. Right now I am using this with Alexa to turn on/off my Christmas tree.

I ended up using this plug in my porch for my outside lights. This plug has allowed me to turn the lights on and off without having to go outside any time I wanted to turn them on. The plug was also one of the smaller ones I could find - most of these type of plugs are bigger. Setting it up was also very easy. And the best part is that I am able to turn my lights on and off from my phone!

I have smart switches to handle most of my lights in the house. I use these plugs for various other things. I have one to control the standing fan in the bedroom, then two more to control the Christmas Tree lights and garland around the banister. They're super reliable, and the fact they connect directly to my Amazon Echo is convenient.

I tried two smart plugs Amazon and Tp-link. Tp-link mini was cheaper and better. It is compatible with Google assistants, Alexa, and Siri. You can also use their app in IOS or Android systems. It is more convenient than Amazon smart plug. It is also smaller and faster. I tried one at the beginning. Then, I loved it and decided to get more. It also madr me trust thier quality. So I also bought tp-link switch. I strongly recommend tp-link smart plug and switch.
