Hooked this up to my echo, now I don't have to have my girlfriend turn off the lights, I just say Echo, turn off those lights and magically, like an invisible girlfriend flicked the switch, the lamp turns off.

Purchased in conjunction with Amazon Echo Dot, this smart plug does require separate download of Kasa app, which wasn't difficult or inconvenient. Plug was ready to go in just a few minutes of wi-fi confirmation. I used it to access a hard-to-reach power strip that serves electronics not always in use, so I wanted to be able to power down all the ready lights. Works great with Alexa. I purchased 2 more.

I love being able to schedule my Christmas lights to come on and off when I want. I can also activate them to come on before I arrive home. After Christmas, I will be able to use this for many other items.

In my quest to smartify my house I bought some Philips bulbs, a Google assistant, and this plug. I wanted to use it in my bedroom to control the fan. I was surprised at how easy it was to set up and use. I wasn't familiar with the brand, but it was cheap so I figured I would give it a try. It ended up being easier than the Google or Philips products to set up. Totally worth it for some simple home automation!

This 2-pack is a great deal when you need multiple smart outlets. I have used other brands of smart outlets in the past, but would have issues with them losing network and having to be reset. I have not had this issue with this product. Plus, this is a smaller design that takes up less space. It works perfectly with Google Home and Alexa, and has an on/off button for manual control.

I've been using this smart plug with appliances that have manual On/Off switches (fans, humidifiers, lights, etc.). It saves me the trouble to physically turn on or turn off each device, especially when I'm not home. A really cool feature is the ability to schedule various times, as well as customizing durations, for any device(s) plugged into the smart plug. Now THAT'S smart!

Purchased this as a bundle with Echo Dot but using it for now as a stand along connected to our wifi. Works well with the andriod app. Easy to setup and control. A wonderful choice for holiday lights... :-)

the best part of this product is the tight integration with alexa. you simply say alexa turn on the christmas tree. other systems require "alexa, tell whoever to turn on whatever." small but bid difference.

You need to run these through Kasa app, which is fine. I have a half dozen of them. We have a string of Christmas lights in my daughter's room, she loves to tell Alexa to turn on her lights and the kasa app when pared with Alexa works great. Even have the option within kasa to set a time for it to go off. So my daughter may turn it on at bed time, but kasa will turn them off automatically every night at 10 pm after she falls asleep. Very cool. Recommend.

We have several of the TP-Link plugs, including some older but much larger plugs that also show your energy use. These are more compact and only cover one outlet but I do miss the energy monitoring. The plugs are very easy to setup using the Kasa app and to program for turning on and off at various times. Have also purchased their wall switch which works very well, overall the product line is great.

The best way to sum up this product is it just works. Very simple configuration, connects to Wifi with just a few clicks, and simple integration with Google Home. This is definitely a set it and forget it type of product. Additionally, the button on the side is a nice touch for family member that don't have the app on their mobile device or don't know the name assigned to the plug.

Was hesitant to use at first as it requires Kasa App and no integration with SmartThings. Connected via Kasa and integrated with Alexa so works great that way. Been using for a month and no problem at all

I bought to use with Amazon Echo and Dot. I had to download app for this smart plug, then was able to have Alexa turn it on and off. It is made for indoors, but I used it outside to control some Holiday lights. Worked well until temperature got in teens. Then it would not respond. When it was moved inside, it started working again.

A great simple way to make anything plugged into an outlet compatible with Amazon Alexa (unsure about other smart home devices). Pros: - easy to set up - size is small to not obstruct other outlets - scheduling function in the app Cons: - price for a single plug is quite expensive While there are other cheaper smart plugs, I chose this one for its size. It is a great simple way to make any devices in your home become a smart device.

Currently operate my Christmas lights remotely with this TP-Link mini smart Wi-Fi plug. Easy to setup and use. Additional app works perfectly although I am using my Amazon Echo to turn lights on and off.

I have a table lamp which has a switch which runs down the back of a dresser and is not in the most accessible location. When used with an echo device power to this lamp can be controlled with my voice.

I installed this Wi-Fi outlet for the Christmas tree and is perfect. It works with my Amazon Echo Dot to perfection. But if you don't have an Echo Dot you can use the application to turn it on and off.

This smart plug works with Alexa and does not require a hub. You do have to download the software for this brand and then connect it to Alexa through your smartphone/pc. I now have three smart plugs in one room and others in other rooms. When I want to turn off the lights I say turn off the upstairs and all the upstairs lights go out. It’s so convenient not to have to get out of bed and turn off the lights when you’re already comfortable.

These plugs are the best. After a power outage, they are the first plugs to reconnect to my wi fi and Alexa. My wemo plugs take up to a half hour and sometimes have to be unplugged and plugged back in. The TPLink mini outlets save space as they only take up one outlet position leaving the other available. I have 10 of these plugs and they are grouped three different ways
