Picked this up as a sale add on item with some Phillips Hue lights and added another Echo Dot to my current set up. The TP-Link WIFI plug was very easy to set up and adding it to my Alexa controlled devices through my Dot took all of 5 minutes. This was a great add this year as it was the one item I took from this purchase and used immediately to control my Christmas tree lights on a schedule. And not having to either physically plug in my lights or use a remote control device that occasionally would get lost made it well worth the purchase. I will now be moving the plug to my daughter's nightlight to control to save me from it running all through the night instead of being able to schedule it for a few initial hours to run til she gets to sleep.

I just received this outlet for only $5 when I purchased an Echo Dot. This is a great value for a great plug. Unlike the Wemo or other smart plugs, this one doesn't block other outlets. Works good with Alexa too!

I wanted to replace some old electric clock timers I use each year to run holiday lights. I decided to go high-tech and get smart plugs so I could set up schedules on my smartphone and maybe even tie the plugs to Google Home. The plugs happened to be on sale, so I bought two of them. The small size of the unit insures that they only use the top or bottom half of a duplex wall outlet. You won't lose two plugs to gain a smart plug. The plugs work as advertised, were simple to program, but the major disadvantage is that they only support the 2.4 GHz WiFi band. If you only have a 5 GHz router, these won't work for you. Also, to set up the units, you will need to set your smartphone's WiFI to the 2.4 GHz side of your network. Once setup is done, though, you no longer need to be on the 2.4 GHz network to control them. I thought this might be a disadvantage when using my Google Home devices as they are on the 5 GHz side, but once the plugs were connected to my 2.4 GHz side and linked via the Google Home app, they work just fine with simple voice commands even though the devices aren't on the same network. Finally, if you want to turn the outlet off or on but don't happen to have your phone, a switch on the side of the unit allows you to turn the outlet on or off.

This smart plug works great and is high quality. The nice thing about it is that the unit connects to your wifi and it works with Alexa. The app works great and set up was very easy

I have a few of these plugs and use them more than I thought I would. I have them all controlled by my Amazon Echo devices. I currently have my Christmas tree and a couple of lamps plugged into these outlets. I definitely recommend the minis as they only take up the one outlet and do not block the whole socket. My favorite use so far is the one that I have my bedroom lamp plugged into. When I'm all cozy in bed, I can just tell the Echo to turn off the light without even moving. I know it's super lazy, but it really is wonderful. Highly recommend! Everyone could find a use for these outlets.

I first bought the Belkin Wemo Mini since I already have a Belkin Wifi lightswitch. The Wemo Mini plug should have been easy to setup, but it refused to connect to my home wifi. I reset the plug, reset my router, changed wifi channels. All kinds of solutions. Eventually I figured the plug wasn't worth the effort it was taking so I returned it and bought the TP Link plug. Downloaded the TP Link Kasa app, connected to the plug, input my wifi password and the plug connected to my wifi and showed up in the TP Link Kasa on the first try. Works well with Google Home.

I like having smart outlets. I have a handful of Iris wifi outlets and a Samsung (I think) zigbee. My hum is a Smartthings hub. I have Echo dots around the house. I don't ask much for my outlets. Mainly I like to use them to turn things on and off via voice. And to set things, like a Christmas tree on a timer. For this outlet, I used the Kasa app to find the outlet. Then I connected Kasa to Alexa. I use the timer in Alexa as well as the voice control. It has worked flawlessly. I can't connect it to Smartthings but I don't care.

I have purchased four of these to control various lights and devices in my house. Setup is very simple and no separate hub or central station is needed, just wifi and the Kasa app. You can schedule on/off times based on time of day, around sunrise/sunset and it works great with my Google Home.

These are responsive and very easy top connect. It works with both google home and alexa. Size is small and will not block other plug.

It's not too bulky, and it has a manual power on/off button on the side that you can use. To set this up, you need to download the Kasa app and create an account. Then, you follow the directions to link your smart plug to your home network. It can take about 5 minutes for the connection to set up, but once it's done, you can turn it on and off from anywhere as long as you and the plug have internet connection. It's really convenient once you set things up because you can set a schedule for days of the week and time periods where it will shut off or turn on anything that's plugged into it. It also doesn't take up a second plug, so most standard 2 plug outlets will still have the second one free. You'll only have issues with the size if you're really cramped for space wherever the outlet is.

Works correctly and easy to setup. Works with Alexa and google home. I like how this model doesn't take up the whole outlet.

These were easy to set up and to use as a timer for my lights. I use mine with my Echo and can adjust them from anywhere .

There Wi-Fi connected plugs are so cool and super easy to setup. Turn on or off via phone app or use Amazon Alexa.

First thing I noticed was how small this is compared to the WeMo I have, so it doesn't have to stick out like a sore thumb. Setup on the app was straight forward, no issues installing. Works well with my new Google Hub. App is easy to use and easy to set up a schedule.

This is a great do it yourself WiFi plug that only takes minutes to set up and it works perfectly. Works seem less with my Alexa but also includes an app that allows me to set timers, schedules, and even turn it on or off straight from my phone. Bottom line I will be adding more of these ASAP. 1 last thing, with Xmas around the corner this is perfect for all the tree lights to plug into. No more bending over or going behind the tree to turn them on/off.

This replaced a cheap conventional smart plug that used radio signals to toggle power on/off. That worked great until the rest of the neighborhood purchased the same cheap plugs and we were all controlling each other's devices. This was quick and easy to setup. The app is intuitive and works across multiple devices. There is even a widget (for Android) that can be added to your home screen to toggle the plug on/off. That's a lot more convenient that opening the app each time to complete the same step. Reliability has been perfect, even through power and network outages, the plug finds its way back on the network without needing intervention. For what it's worth, I have a mesh network, 2.4 and 5g with a common SSID - this plug has no issues with connecting and staying connected.

I love this little box. Very easy to set up, and very easy to link with my google home. It works very well, and has reliably helped me turn my appliances on and off through my phome and virtual assistants.

This smart plug is super easy to set up. The app is intuitive and the scheduling is great.

The setup using the KASA app was easy. Once set up, you can use the app to remotely turn on/off the plugged in appliance. I have several of these controlling the lights in the house. For example, I can turn on the lights while I am still at the office. The KASA app also allows you to set up a schedule for each plug which is very convenient. The plugs can also be controlled via ALEXA which is a great bonus.

This TP-Link mini smart plug is great. It was easy to set up, it integrates well with Amazon Echo, and the scheduling feature of the Kasa app is nice. I also like its slim profile so that it does not obscure the second wall outlet
