We got this on Black Friday as an add on with a dot. It was easy to setup, we use it with Alexa and with the Kasa app. Currently we have it plugged into our Christmas tree and use the timer function in the app, it makes turning the tree on and off a breeze. We don’t have to come into a dark house either. I look forward to adding more smart plugs and switch’s in the future as I can see the benefits.

Got 3 of these for $5 each when bundled with some Echo Dots. Great price for these handy smart plugs. Plugged in and got Bluetooth connected to Alexa within a couple of minutes and now she turns on and off our room light and Christmas tree with a simple voice command. Can do more with these... I will have fun finding ways to make them more useful. Great buy... works good. No complaints.

Working in the IT Security field I always temper my expectations when it comes to IOT (Internet of things). The set up was super easy, connected to my enterprise wireless in my house with no issues, the scheduling has been great, I have set it up with our Christmas tree to turn on and off at particular times and does its job very well. I will be purchasing more int he future.

OMG...I'm so glad that it was a $5 buy with my Echo Plus because it was too good of a deal to pass up. You have to set up on the Kasa App before the Alexa App but other than that additional step, it was pretty easy to set up the plug. It's pretty awesome that it can be scheduled and so now my Christmas Tree is on before I get home and I don't have to plug it in!!

I got this as an add on to an amazon echo. Setup was easy, at first it worked well in the app but couldn’t get voice control to work. I decided to keep it anyway for the timer function. After multiple conversations with amazon and tp link with no success, I gave up, 3 days later a firmware update to the echo made it work. Very satisfied now, I have 3 of them.

Just a great little device. Doesn't obscure other outlets. Works exactly as advertised and app is really neat. I can tell if lights are on or off from anywhere with the app and even schedule times to turn off and on. I have it set to turn the Christmas tree off every hour from 9 pm until midnight in case we forget it on. Also do the same at 8am

I have two of these TP-Link Smartplugs. Easy to setup and use within the KASA app. I have also integrated these plugs with my Samsung Smartthings, although not as easy to do the initial setup, it does work well once installed and configured to use with the Smartthings App. Would recommend this plug for any smart home application.

Great plug and good system. Very easy to set up. I replaced an older Kasa plug which was too loose (I had a lamp plugged in it and it kept falling out of the old Kasa plug). These wifi plugs work great with the Kasa app, Alexa, Google home and my Android phone. I also have been changing over to the Kasa light bulbs and prefer them over Smart things, which is what I used to buy. These are very reliable, don't require a hub and are cheaper. The mini plug is much easier to work with than my older and larger Kasa smart plug and I will be ordering another one since it is on sale.

The TP-Link Smart Wi-Fi mini plug is a very inexpensive way to control devices from your phone, with your voice, at home or away. I love the size of this plug. It doesn't take up an entire wall outlet. I bought it to turn on and off my TV with my voice, but it did not work because my old TV goes into standby mode when the power it turned on. This controls the power going to the device. If the TV had no standby mode, the TV would turn on, but alas, this did not solve my TV problem. It is not fault of the product. It's still great for so many other devices like turning your lights on and off with your phone or voice. The KASA app is easy to use as well. Really easy setup - very intuitive. Would definitely purchase more of these when the time comes.

Great for Echo Dot or any other Alexa Product, comes with an app that lets you set the exact times, dates, how long you want it on for, and to turn whatever is plugged in on from just about anywhere, great when you are out of town and want it to appear as if someone is home, also to have lights on when you come home at night.

This was an extra $5 when I purchased my second echo dot. Very easy to setup with the app. Plugged a lamp into it because it's very tall that you cannot reach it sitting in the chair next to it without getting up. The plug has button on the side that works as a on/off button. Just don't hold the button down that resets it.

My needs weren't at all exotic... all I wanted was to be able to use my phone during my commute to turn on a lamp in my front room at home. I've got dogs and it's easier to get the door open without any of them squeaking past me if I can first see inside. I have good Wi-Fi and (at least at this point in time) have no plans to go crazy and set up my entire house to be remotely adjusted. Just wanted a lamp to go off/on and not break the bank doing it. I was advised that this mini-plug was just what I was after, so I gave it a try. Works perfect. Just followed the onscreen prompts and set up was easy. Now I can click on the correct icon on the phone's app and, when I walk up to my front door, the front room is lit. This was exactly what I was looking for; no dimming, no color changing, just a remote off/on switch for the device of my choice. Recommended.

Got it for 5 dollars with an echo purchase on black Friday. Set up was simple, paired with echo no problems, haven't really used it much, but feel it could be useful, especially for a lamp when on vacation, just open the app, and turn on a lamp in the house, instead of leaving a light on the whole time you are away.

got this during a Black Friday sale and while I wasn't really interested in the plug I'm glad I got one. the set ups super easy and works great with Alexa. I use it to control my lamp in my room and its awesome to just give the command when I lay down in bed and forget to turn off the lights. strongly recommend.

Last year I purchased the larger devices and find them useful to control my lights. These mini plugs perform the same function but do not block the second wall receptical due to its compact size. I am able to use Alexa to turn things on and off and use the Kasa app to control lights while I am away from home.

These are awesome devices, I'm glad TP-Link as redesigned these WiFi Smart Plugs to be 'mini' so that other wall outlet can be left unobstructed. The Kasa app is nice and so is the build quality of the device, as compared to other off-name brand smart plugs out there in the market today.

This switch is great to use as a timer and remote control. I use it to operate my house's hot water circulation pump both on a fixed schedule (morning and evening) and remotely on demand. It also works as a light timer when on travel. I'll look forward to the next time they're on sale.

I now have 2 of these plugs paired with 2 amazon echos and found the entire set up fairly intuitive. The only hiccup in the process for me was setting the plugs to remote in the Kasa app for use with Alexa. Other than that it was a five minute process to automate my Christmas lights.

I've only used it via app on Android cell to turn on and off and it works well enough. In time I'll try and set up a schedule to see how that works, which is the main reason I purchased. Plan to purchase additional units in the future, too bad the 2-pack is no longer available.
